They don't, Patrick. Every month is a fresh start.

But anyone can renominate any book. Sometimes a book is renominated several times before it finally wins.

I'm sorry all. I am confused. Again. I thought we read I Am a Cat and Fahrenheit 451 earlier this year. Shouldn't they be on the ineligible list? Thanks.

You are right, in May and February, respectively. So I think Fahrenheit 451 is juuuuust eligible, but I Am a Cat isn't.

We can reread a book any time, but once it is reread, it cannot be nominated again for one year.

just read the blurb and my GR friends ratings for it and it looks interesting ... I would ordinarily not be attracted to Agatha Christie, but now my interest is piqued
