These nominations are open to any book (with the exception of the points below)*.

- Please make sure to include book link or book cover link. This can be done by clicking on the 'add book / author' link above the comment box. If not possible (because you're using the mobile app), then make sure you include both book title and author.
Your nomination will not count if not in either of these formats.

- *Please refrain from nominating any book that has already been a group read or scheduled to read as part of the Goodreads Choice Award Book Club. These can be found at https://www.goodreads.com/group/books...

- *Please do not nominate a second (or later) book in a series read. Your nomination will be not counted if you do.

Well RitaSkeeter you can still vote for Mudbound:-) I usually see which ones most people want to read and choose from the ones that have more votes. If only a few are going for one I will put my vote else where. But I think Mudbound would be a great group read with a lot of good discussion. It is one I care more about reading with others than on my own. But there are a few choices here that are on my tbr here. So if at least one of them is chosen I will join in.

I'm new to this group and confused. I thought we were nominating things that have been nominated for Goodreads Choice Awards? Lock In does look really good, so I'm not trying to be a pain, I'm just uncertain.

Hi Sarah - This group reads all of the winners of the Goodreads Choice Awards as our monthly reads, but we also have an additional read each month. The additional read is nominated and voted on by our members. So, this thread is the nominations for the additional read. You can nominate a book that was nominated for an award if you choose, but that isn't a requirement. You can nominate any book that you want to read, as long as it is not already scheduled as a group read and is not the second or later book in a series.

I hope this isn't a stupid question, but I never seem to see the nomination message, just the "it's time to vote" message, which comes to my email. Is it just that I'm not checking the discussion boards frequently enough? Thanks :)

Hey Lisa, I don't send out a message for the nomination stage (I don't like to bombard the members with lots of messages), so it is a case of checking the discussion boards more frequently.
