Chris Underwood There are four here that I would enjoy reading~ hard choice this time! :)

message 4: by Michael (new)

Michael I read the preview chapter for Reconstructing Amelia and was immediately hooked!

message 5: by [deleted user] (new)

This one was definitely a tough choice...I would like to read quite a few of them.

message 6: by Colleen (new)

Colleen I joined the bandwagon on Reconstructing Amelia, but a few are on my TBR and added Lock In to it. The Dinner wasn't very good IMO. Idk it was just weird. Maybe just due to translation.

message 7: by Andy (new)

Andy Capricorn I'm hoping Reconstructing Amelia makes it! I've wanted to read it for a while but just haven't gotten around to it. It's also the only one of these that I own...

message 8: by Pam (new)

Pam Not familiar with any of them so going to opt out of the voting this time.

message 9: by Margaret (new)

Margaret Cullingford Sorry, I too will have to opt out as I know nothing about any of them.

Just remember everyone that you can click on the book links (under the Poll is about heading) and go read about them.

message 11: by Margaret (new)

Margaret Cullingford thanks for the reminder, Lynn.

message 12: by Margaret (new)

Margaret Cullingford From what I've read about them, for me too Reconstructing Amelia. I'm also drawn to The Perfume Collector, Mudbound and Ripper.

message 13: by Cathrina (new)

Cathrina Constantine Miss Peregrine's is a good read!!

message 14: by Sarah (new)

Sarah Noooo. Out of all of those I wanted to read and it wasn't one of them. You all enjoy, gives me time to catch up on so many other reads anyway... But wonder if it's good?

message 15: by Sarah (new)

Sarah I just want to point out that Mudbound would have five votes and not only four except I changed my vote to Amelia.

message 16: by Lynn (new)

Lynn Mod
I did the exact same thing as you Sarah

message 17: by Sarah (new)

Sarah Well I had Amelia ready to go - gonna get it any day - on hold on my Overdrive account. Well I am gonna keep trying for Mudbound. I can't complain though, my The Road by Cormac McCarthy and We Were Liars by E. Lockhart nominations won for September in my NBRC group, Lady Chatterley's Lover by D.H. Lawrence and The Cider House Rules by John Irving nominations in my Around the World in 80 Books group. But I so want want Mudbound, I am very patient and will keep trying.

Rita - I did NOT enjoy We Were Liars ..... waaaaaay too much hype about it.

message 19: by Lynn (new)

Lynn Mod
Actually if you read the reviews there's quite a lot of us out there :)

message 20: by Katie (new)

Katie I just finished the second Miss Peregrine's book and they are both wonderful. The photographs really add to the story.

Sarah RitaSkeeter wrote: "I've just finished We Were Liars and I'm in a minority about what think of that one too. Are you interested in a buddy read for Mudbound?"

Rita, I am still trying to get it nominated, if I can't would you want to do it in like December, or is that too late for you? I would also really like to read The Known World. We could do them both together if you are interested in this one. It is also about slavery but supposed to be really good and a different premise. It is a Pulitzer.

message 22: by Sarah (new)

Sarah Cool. I will keep you posted.
