Hello everyone. I 'm Gunja and I m from India. I am new to this group and have started reading after a very long gap. I have kept my goal for 20 books in 2020. Would love to be a part of Good reads.
Hi Ashley and Gunja and everyone else who has joined and/or posted. Welcome and good luck in your reading challenges for 2020! :D
Hey! Reading books has always been a desire of mine. Yet, I always found anything and everything else more important. I picked up reading 2 years ago and am finally excited to be doing what I enjoy. I'm from the United States and have lived all over the states, currently residing in SC. I started with a primary interest in non-fiction but have slowly transitioned to fiction. My reading goal is a random 42 for 2020. -Bryan
Hi, I'm Chuy! From Mexico.I've always loved to read, but I would like to get more recommendations and read-buddies.
Happy to be here!
Hi, I'm Mylène from the Netherlands.I like mysteries, crimes, cozy's, self-help books and some more.
My absolute favourite writer is James Rollins.
For 2020 I want to read/listen to some 200 books. To get out of my comfort zone every now and then, I am going to try some reading challenges. No idea whether I will finish them, and actually I don't care - I just hope to find some books I like.
Hi everyone! I’m Jess from North Carolina. I’ve always been an avid reader and writer since I was a kid and I’m currently working on my Masters degree in Publishing from The George Washington University in Washington, DC. With a lot of hard work and a little bit of luck, I’ll graduate this coming May. My favorite genre of books is mystery/thriller, but I also consider myself a foodie, so cookbooks are another big hit for me. I had a goal of reading 50 books in 2019 and have reached it (yay!). I don’t have as much time as I’d like to read for pleasure because of schoolwork, so most of my non-school reading is done in between semesters. For 2020, I’ve set a goal for myself to not only read more than 50 books but to read some different genres and more books by minority authors/POCs. If you have any suggestions, feel free to reach out!
I’m so very excited to be a part of this group and I look forward to networking with other bookworms like myself!

My name is Nancy and I am from Georgia, US. I found this group while looking for information on the 2020 Reading Challenge. I love all types of books. My goal is to read 200 books in 2020.
Hi Everyone, I'm AE.I hail from Southern CA, enjoy reading mysteries, crime, biography, historical fiction and horror (with the light on!), I found this group by doing a search. I was part of a reading challenge for 2019 with a goal of 275 books. I should have about 285 done by the end of the year. My 2020 goal is 300 books because I'm really getting bored with TV. In fact, I may even give up TV for a while. My Nook is charged and my library cards are in good standing - who knows what and where I'll end up!!
Greetings, everyone! I'm Sophie from the United States. I read a lot for work but have decided to include more leisure reading for 2020. I figure this forum will be a great motivator to rekindle my love of literature. Looking forward to engaging in the readings this way.
I'm Lilly, and I'm from the U.S. My taste in books really depends on the mood I'm in; I tend to read YA books a lot but further than that I wouldn't really say I prefer any specific genres over others. I found the group as I was browsing through some of the popular groups here on Goodreads and it caught my eye, and here I am!My goal for 2020 is 46 books- it will definitely be more challenging than this year's goal (10 books) but I don't think it will be too hard.
Hello All!My name is Marta and I have been using Goodreads since 2015 but this is my first venture into a group. I look forward to clearing my shelves a bit this year as I have hundreds of unread books and I need the space. I volunteer with the Alachua County Friends of the Library and so it is easy to collect (hoard) books. This year I am going to read 40 books purchased from our FOL book sales in previous years. That should leave a little room for new things ;) I hope to get some good ideas from you all to fill those gaps.
Happy Reading and Happy New Year!
Hi! My name is Meg. I have been trying to get back into reading over the last year but I am unfortunately a slow reader. I am however trying to challenge myself and read more often because there was a time when I loved to read. I joined in the hopes of getting more ideas for books and networking with people who are reading the same thing as me !

I did not read much for many years and last year I started a bit and before New Year's Eve, I decided to spend less time with my phone and more time with books. And somehow, it works. Still thinking about my reading challenge that I am going to throw in here in like 28 hours or a bit more. Welcome!
