If so it must be down to Ned Stark.
I want some romance between Pillsbury and the Gingerbread man, please."
Nope, I'm a Christmas cookie too. I think it must be the number of tabs I have open right now because I picked Atticus, not Ned.
I also missed two cookies, switching vanillekpfel with sandbalelser. It thought the powdered sugar was the "sand." :)

Go on, go on! What happens next? Will Dough-boy catch the stollen-thief. And why is Ginger looking at him with this twinkle in his eyes?"
Methinks Ginger has something spicy in mind. I'm afraid the stolen stollen has fallen by the wayside.

Ha! That cookie quiz gave the least accurate results imaginable!"You get along with everyone and everyone wants to get along with you, because you're as cute as a button. If there's a sweet-ass party happening this weekend, you're the one throwing it."
Huh. Take the opposite of everything above and that is me. I'm a big fan of the Grinch -- the Grinch BEFORE he got brainwashed into being all soft and goopy. 😠
Barbra wrote: "I'm Shortbread! YUM! :-)I'll have to play Match the Cookie at home tonight...my work computer won't let me do it. I'm a HUGE cookie fan, so I hope
I do OK (but I suck at tests) :-) :-) :-)"
It's not a test. I repeat: it's NOT a test.
Erm.
Well... okay. Maybe it's a test. I hope you'll have fun anyway. ;-)
Also: shortbread. YUM! :-)
Fehu wrote: "I am a Ginger Cookie"I love ginger. :-)
Did I say I'm a double chocolate cookie? I tried it twice with a row of different answers and it still picked me for chocolate. So it must be true.
It's time to announce the winners of the cookie fun. :-)
One audiobook code goes to: Teal.
Please, contact me via Goodreads message to claim your prize!
The Dickens with Love ebook goes to: Ije the Devourer of Books.
Please, contact me via Goodreads message to claim your prize! I'll need a real life e-mail-address to send the ebook to you.
Congrats to the winners!
And thanks for playing everyone! See you here next Sunday when we'll light the second candle. :-)
I redid the cookie quiz and got Double Chocolate Cookie this time. It seems more appropriate. I downloaded the recipe for the Quadruple Chocolate Soft Fudgy Pudding Cookies it showed with my cookie type (I wasn't even tempted by the Linzer Stars). Congratulations to the winners!
Calathea wrote: "One audiobook code goes to: Teal. Please, contact me via Goodreads message to claim your prize!"
Wow, thank you! I'll be in touch. ;)
Congrats to the winners!I'm looking forward to this weekend's fun!
Maybe we can see what Inspector Dough-boy and Ginger are up to....
That was good fun. Thank you everyone. I am pleased I won but I have asked Calathea to give my prize to the next winner because I have read and loved The Dickens with Love and it is just good fun to join in these games. I also won an audiobook code quite recently too :)
Share the prize time :)
I'm sorry, but NO I really don't like raisins in my oatmeal cookies. Currants in the scones, yum yes.
Susinok wrote: "Oatmeal Raisin? NNNooooooooooooo!!!!"Oh, I love oatmeal raisin cookies.
Personally, though, I make them with Raisinettes (chocolate covered raisins, for those who aren't from the U.S.) just to cover all of the bases.
Hm, I haven't made those in a while. I think I have my project for the day.
Michelle Rae wrote: "Congrats! And thanks for the adventures of Dough Boy and his Ginger!"Oh, yes! I would love to hear about them. :)
Ije the Devourer of Books wrote: "That was good fun. Thank you everyone. I am pleased I won but I have asked Calathea to give my prize to the next winner because I have read and loved The Dickens with Love and it is just good fun..."
Thank you, dear Ije, for offering! I'll see how we can find a good home for this one. Most probably put them back in Santa's sleigh/bag/whatever tradition dictates and raffle it away on the fourth Advent.
Have a good week everyone!
Is it Sunday already? Why, yes, two candles are burning brightly now. But look who I found in the snow! (that's wishful thinking, there is no snow in sight around here...) :-)
Let's have some fun with the second round of the Advent Raffle! :-)
What is your favourite Christmas story of Josh's? (and if you haven't read all of them yet, you might want to stop by Josh's blog today... just saying...)
Do you want to test your knowledge of Josh's Christmas stories? Then try the quiz on Christmassy Fluffy Friends in the stories.
And for the artistically inclined among you we have two online-colouring pages: Santa's Sleigh and Christmas Fireplace Decorations (the second one requires Flash).
Today we raffle away:
* two audiobook codes and
* one copy of Josh's Baby, it's Cold via Smashwords
Winners will be announced tomorrow around my 8 p.m.
And if you happen to meet a fluffy friend say hello for me! :-)
My favourites are The Dicken's with Love and Iscapade with Lone Star following these two as a close second. I got each question wrong and kept going until I got all the answers right. This shows that I dont pay attention to fluffy animals in book :) And it also shows that it is time for a Christmas re read!

Re-reads are in order if you got the answeres right or not. :-) I re-listened to the Dickens audiobook for the twentieth time (at least!) yesterday. It's such a lovely story.
Icecapade is my all-time favorite ever! Every time i reread it, when it ends, i want to go right back to the beginning right away. And The Dickens with Love is one of my favorites in audio.
The coloring is fun! I like Santa's expression. He seems...startled yet intrigued. Oh, it's you... :-D
The only fluffy friend I couldn't match correctly was the ocelot, not big surprise since I haven't read that story. Oops. :DI guess this isn't the best time and place to confess that I'm not all that into Christmas romances. I tend to consider them just as one of the many settings a romance can take place, it doesn't necessarily make a story more or less enjoyable to me just because it's set on Christmas.
My favorite Josh's Christmas story is So This Is Christmas, nothing can beat Adrien and Jake on their first Christmas together. :)
Although technically it isn't a Christmas story, I really loved the festive atmosphere in The Ghost Wore Yellow Socks.
Mymymble wrote: "I can't get off Page one in the quiz though. I don't know if it's me or the quiz."Have you clicked on the blue circle on the bottom right corner, Mymymble? I got stuck on the first page until I noticed you have to click on it to confirm your choice and then again to move to the next page. :)

*nodnod* Lovely story, stuck animals and all. Also: Christmas tree! :-)
Elena wrote: "The only fluffy friend I couldn't match correctly was the ocelot, not big surprise since I haven't read that story. Oops. :D"I was wondering if a "tsk" would be the right reaction to that confession. :-D On the other hand though, you can still look forward to that little gem. Anticipation!
Well done with the other pets! :)
Elena wrote: "Although technically it isn't a Christmas story, I really loved the festive atmosphere in The Ghost Wore Yellow Socks."Oh, yes, it's set around Christmas too. There was even a present.
I didn't want to include the dove in the quiz, though. Too sad.

Thanks for jumping in here with the instructions, Elena! :-)
@Mymymble: So, yes, what she said. *nod*
Lonestar and The Dickens with Love are my favorites. And I love the Codas, getting to check in on everyone...The game was fun but I had to redo 2 questions. I agree, time for some re-reads! 😊
*just for fun*Well, matching the critters was easy-peasy for a person with critters on the brain! So much fun! And I just finished a reread of Icecapade the other day.
I wrote a coda for last year's advent calendar about the reindeer from Lonestar, in case anyone missed it.

I haven't read all of Josh's Christmas stories, but I love Lone Star. Oh wait, I love A Case of Christmas too. In fact, I want to reread that this year.
(Please don't count me in the running for the prizes, as I was lucky enough to win last week.)
Favorite audio is
- Alexander J. Masters - his voice is amazing!!!Favorite to read (because I can't help it)
I'll never get enough Adrien.

I had a feeling you might say that about Adrien... ;)

The reindeer seems to be a fan favourite. :)
I wish I had the time to reread them all.

LOL Didn't expect anything else from somebody with your expertise! I have to admit, though, I had to look up one of them before creating the quiz.

Yep, re-reads. Or re-listens. I'm a big fan of the audio versions.
Lonestar and the Dickens... second chances make for wonderful Christmas stories, right? :-)

aaawww, you know me so well xo!
I really love A Case of Christmas, but if I had to pick just one favorite, it would be The Dickens with Love.
Josh writes my very favorite Christmas stories! I love, love, LOVE The Dickens with Love which I read about twice a year: once during the summertime and then again right before Christmas to get me in that fluffy Christmassy mood. :-)
My other favorites are Lone Star and Baby, it's Cold and I Spy Christmas.

Goge wrote: "I read all of them but Icecapade is still my most favorite one!!!"What is it about this one that makes it such a good Christmas story? I don't remember if it was Josh's first Christmas story...
Johanna wrote: "Josh writes my very favorite Christmas stories! SamSpayedPI wrote: "I really love A Case of Christmas, but if I had to pick just one favorite, it would be The Dickens with Love."So you would be able to answer the question which animal made an appearance in the Dickens? ;-)
