Tommy Hancock (tommyhancock) | 93 comments Took an 8 mile hike to the library today(4 there, 4 back) and got me a nice batch of books, mostly books in series I need to finish.

I'll probably read The Necromancer (The Secrets of the Immortal Nicholas Flamel, #4) by Michael Scott starting tonight.

Tommy Hancock (tommyhancock) | 93 comments I started The Shadowhand Covenant by Brian Farrey as well. Loved the first book, and just a couple chapters in I'm already liking this one just as much. I really wish this series was more popular.

Tommy Hancock (tommyhancock) | 93 comments I started Mercury by Hope Larson a little bit ago. Ran by it at the library and have been meaning to read a Hope Larson graphic novel for a while. Just started it, but so far it's interesting.

Tommy Hancock (tommyhancock) | 93 comments Up next I'm gonna read The Grimjinx Rebellion by Brian Farrey to finish up the Vengekeep Prophecies trilogy. If it's as good as the first two, this could be one of my favorite series.

message 120: by Tommy (new)

message 121: by Nikita (new)

message 122: by Tommy (new)

Tommy Hancock (tommyhancock) | 93 comments Up next Nightmares! (Nightmares!, #1) by Jason Segel Not even 100% sure what it's about(assuming bad dreams play a part haha) but it's by Jason Segel, one of my favorite actors(along with co-author Kirsten Miller, so I figured it was worth a go :0)

message 124: by Tommy (new)

Tommy Hancock (tommyhancock) | 93 comments Up next I'll probably finish some comics before deciding between The Curse of the Wendigo (The Monstrumologist, #2) by Rick Yancey and Scarlet (The Lunar Chronicles, #2) by Marissa Meyer

message 125: by Tommy (new)

Tommy Hancock (tommyhancock) | 93 comments Since I last posted I've finished Bone, Vol. 3 Eyes of the Storm (Bone, #3) by Jeff Smith Bone, Vol. 4 The Dragonslayer (Bone, #4) by Jeff Smith Bone, Vol. 5 Rock Jaw, Master of the Eastern Border (Bone, #5) by Jeff Smith , Locke and Key Vol. 4 Keys to the Kingdom by Joe Hill Locke and Key Vol. 5 Clockworks (Locke & Key) by Joe Hill Locke & Key, Vol. 6 Alpha & Omega by Joe Hill , and The Curse of the Wendigo (The Monstrumologist, #2) by Rick Yancey

4 more books left in the Bone series, a fantasy both epic and hilarious

Locke and Key is... well kind of indescribable. Recommended for "mature" readers. So long as you feel you fall under than umbrella and are not opposed to reading comics, I highly recommend.

And Curse of the Wendigo was just amazing. I really, really like The Monstrumologist, but its sequel blew it out of the water, IMO.

Next up for me, Scarlet (The Lunar Chronicles, #2) by Marissa Meyer

Kerry (kbancroft) Have any of you read The Bunker Diary by Kevin Brooks? Hi by the way!

Tommy Hancock (tommyhancock) | 93 comments Up next, probably The Isle of Blood (The Monstrumologist, #3) by Rick Yancey

message 133: by Tommy (new)

Tommy Hancock (tommyhancock) | 93 comments I finished The Isle of Blood (The Monstrumologist, #3) by Rick Yancey last night, and while the first two books were excellent, this one won me over just a little more because of the way Yancey focused on certain relationships and how he made me flip flop on my opinions of certain characters.

Up next Sidekicks by Jack D. Ferraiolo , a cape and tights story by an Emmy winning TV writer. Should be fun :)
