Updated my covers. I hit my mark for this month, with 4 books. I'm sure it'll end up being at least 5. So that means the only month I didn't hit my target was May, with only 3 books.

Congrats!! I'm still down the reddit rabbit hole, lol.
I've gotten a few books read here and there...but after that its mostly reddit. And then lately - Reddit or One Deck Dungeon.
Thanks y'all!I moved Monsters to my on-hold shelf and sent it back to the library. It seems like a really good book, but I found myself wanting to read other things. So I dove into another Darcy Coates book last night, The Carrow Haunt.
It's happening again. The library holds are coming in together. *sigh* And the two that came in in the last couple of days are non-fiction which usually takes me longer to read, and one of them is pretty long. LOL I suspect that they won't get finished in time. One, yes, but very unlikely that I'll finish both of them.

I'm actually reading a LitRPG series. It's pretty good. Good enough Hubby is reading it with me. O_O

That's true, one of the books that came in was put on hold literally months ago. LOL
What LitRPG series are you reading?
... and another library hold came in. LOL I want to read all three of these but I'd kind of like to read some other stuff too someday soon. :D

The Spells, Swords and Stealth series starting with NPCs.
Just finished book 3 yesterday and there's one more book left in the series. So far. I *hope* its done. I'm enjoying myself but there's only so much story before the author is reduced to shark jumping.
Ah, yes. It's always a disappointment when an author runs out of story but doesn't seem to want to stop writing about it anyway. Hopefully that won't happen with that series.Turns out that the longest of the library books is actually not as long as I thought. I looked at the contents and most of the last half of the book is end notes, bibliography, photo credits and stuff. So it's not as long as it seemed in terms of actual reading.

Yes. Too true. In this one, the author can have a lot of material...but he'll still be faced with the "just because I can, does it mean I should?" issue pretty soon. Cause we're already 4 books in.
But I've checked and it appears he DOES plan to continue. He just hasn't any writing planned for right this moment. (as he's working on other WIPs).
Updated my covers post for the first time in like a month. Yay!And I never followed up on last month's library pile up - I ended up sending a couple of them back early. Just wasn't what I could get into at the time.
Of course, now it's been happening again. LOL But these are more manageable. Just normal fiction stuff. Already got one done, another started last night, and the third just came in today so I've got time.
I'm finally past the halfway point of Middlegame. It's good but it's also slooooow. I feel like I've been reading it forever and the way some "revelations" are being introduced feels kinda awkward.
I finally finished Middlegame! Yay! LOL The second half or so really took off but before that... Anyway, I've finished and moved on.
Updated my covers with the last two books. Started reading NOS4A2. I only have it from the library for two more weeks and it's a long one so I'm just hoping I finish it in time.
Updated again. Finished NOS4A2, read Blister and then Anonymous (from Amazon's Disorder collection of short stories on KU), and I've just started Roadside Picnic, which inspired the 1979 movie Stalker, and the Stalker video games.I might watch the movie when I'm done. Or I might not. My list of things to watch is almost as long as my list of books to read.
Thanks! :) I'm pleased with my progress, and my sometimes sporadic but somewhat regular updating. LOLAnd by the time I checked GR today, you've already updated! Well done! :)

MrsJoseph wrote: "I've been reading nothing but smut for the most part. And barely tracking that."I'm still in my non-romance / smut mode for some reason. It's really weird. I've wandered away from genres before but I always go back, it's never been this long.
At first, I thought that maybe it's because I have no interest in sex or romance in real life these days, but... I don't have any interest in real-life dismemberment either but I read plenty of horror. LOL
Oh well. I'm sure I'll circle back around eventually.
DoodlePanda wrote: "Kinda glad you're not into real life dismemberment tho :P"LOL I'm sure everyone is glad about that. :D

lolol
I've gone over a week now with hardly reading at all. I'm not particularly concerned. I went almost 11 months without missing a day so I think I was due for a lapse. LOL

So I'm reading again. Finished a book last night. Then this morning, I realized...I finished my challenge! Yay!
Updated my stuff. I think I might have read almost all the books that I'll finish this year, but we still have 4 days left, so there may be more. :DI had given my Mom a Paperwhite 4, but she doesn't use it so she gave it back to me. So I now have fiction on my Voyage and non-fiction on the Paperwhite. Completely excessive? Probably. LOL
DoodlePanda wrote: "Nice! :DI really need to update my GR soon... *sigh* LOL"
I've been really lax about that the last few months. LOL I think I always get that way toward the end of the year. Then the new year starts and I dive into the new year's thread, all ambitious until about 8 or 9 months in. :D
