You need to look at the genres listed on the main page of the book - if adventure is there, that's a start. If "childrens" is also there, you'll need to check it on the AR site, according to the rules on childrens books. See Rules of the Challenge

yes, it will work, assuming you're planning to read the "real" Tom Sawyer - I just looked it up -

actually, both books work for either task, since 20.7 allows the use of series titles! And both have adventure as a genre. You're covered all across the board!
