14. A book with a title, subtitle or cover relating to an astronomical term
I stumbled across Star of the North by DB John in a bookstore flyer. It fits this prompt nicely and the North Korea aspect fits my desire to read more widely geographically.
Considering these...The Moon And Sixpence - W. Somerset Maugham
Ginny Moon - Benjamin Ludwig
The Pillars of the Earth- Ken Follett
My ideas so far: Billy Moon, Spin, The Comet Seekers, All Other Nights (stars on cover), The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, Celestial Harmonies
I'm doing Astrophysics for People in a Hurry , with Artemis and My Heart and Other Black Holes as back ups
Thinking about these, but still poking around for other options.
The Mars Room by Rachel Kushner
Moonwalking with Einstein: The Art and Science of Remembering Everything by Joshua Foer
My Heart and Other Black Holes by Jasmine Warga
Artemis by Andy Weir
Everyone's a Aliebn When Ur a Aliebn Too by Jomny Sun
Sleeping on Jupiter by Anuradha Roy
The Mars Room by Rachel Kushner
Moonwalking with Einstein: The Art and Science of Remembering Everything by Joshua Foer
My Heart and Other Black Holes by Jasmine Warga
Artemis by Andy Weir
Everyone's a Aliebn When Ur a Aliebn Too by Jomny Sun
Sleeping on Jupiter by Anuradha Roy
My ideas so far :Die Gestirne german version of The Luminaries by Eleonor Catton
Star King by Susan Grant
How about The Starless Sea? That's the title of the 2019 publication by Erin Morgenstern, author of The Night Circus.

So excited about this! I'm off to put it into as many prompts as possible. I don't even care that it's a year away from release!
LOL all of the ATY group is rushing off to add it :-)I don't know for this one. I have:
A Constellation of Vital Phenomena ( didn't get to it this year, thanks for reminding me Dalex)
Moon Over Manifest
Number the Stars
The Mars Room( Thank you Emily)
Michelle wrote: "I'm planning to read Life on Mars, poems by Tracy K. Smith!"I really enjoyed that book - she has a lot of pop-culture references in it, including (obviously) several David Bowie references.
I’m thinking about Moon Over Soho by Ben Aaronovitch for this week. I was a bit underwhelmed by the first book in the series but so many people rave about it that I keep meaning to give it a second chance.

You're welcome! I still have A Constellation of Vital Phenomena on my 2019 plan (even though I've been tempted to change it 1,402,037 times!) It's been on my TBR List since August 2013 (omg!) so I really need to read it.
Veronica Mars...The Thousand-Dollar Tan Line was really good on audio. It's completely told by Kristin Bell (in many different voices).
Just realised I could also fit A Closed and Common Orbit or Record of a Spaceborn Few into this prompt too. That’s another series I’ve been meaning to continue with.
Bryony wrote: "Just realised I could also fit A Closed and Common Orbit or Record of a Spaceborn Few into this prompt too. I need to stay off the threads now, lol
Alicia wrote: "Veronica Mars...The Thousand-Dollar Tan Line was really good on audio. It's completely told by Kristin Bell (in many different voices)."I loved that audiobook. I think I'm going to use the next one (Mr. Kiss and Tell) for my "related to a TV show" category.
Haha, Tracy, I definitely need to stop reading these threads so much. My TBR is growing every time I so much as glance at the weekly topics folder! I thought I was fairly settled on my book choices for quite a few prompts but now I'm reconsidering as I see what other people have chosen.
Bryony, that's how I've ended up with 10-15 choices for each prompt! It's going to be hard to narrow it down each week....
The Black Hole seems perfect for this. Though, I have realized that with the number of indie authors and free kindle books I'm trying to check off my TBR, I might need some back up options in case I DNF them for being terrible. I also own:
Last Star Burning
The Gods of Mars
And now I'm excited about Aurora Rising since this is the first I've heard of it!
Some that I'm considering:Ginny Moon
Muse of Nightmares (cover)
The Starless Sea - this one sounds awesome!
I was leaning towards Solar by Ian McEwan, but then I spotted The Sun is Also a Star by Nicola Yoon on my local supermarket's 'second-hand charity bookshelf' and couldn't resist picking it up, so now I'm thinking I'll read that.On the other hand, Solar is shorter ... so we'll see.
Mini wrote: "I was leaning towards Solar by Ian McEwan, but then I spotted The Sun is Also a Star by Nicola Yoon .....on the other hand Solar is shorter..."I haven't read The Sun is also a Star ( I think I have it on my plan for next year), but if its anything like her writing in Everything, Everything, it should be a quick read regardless of length. Its also been highly recommended by a few people around here.
So I ended up reading my original choice already, haha. My new choice for this prompt for 2019 is
The Map of Salt and Stars
I wish I could reread The Sun Is Also a Star for the first time! It's a wonderful book (and a quick read!)
I'm going to read a quick one for this, but I've heard that it's really good and as space-ish stuff isn't really my thing both those aspects appeal! So I'm going with The Lady Astronaut of Mars.
Mini wrote: "I was leaning towards Solar by Ian McEwan, but then I spotted The Sun is Also a Star by Nicola Yoon on my local supermarket's 'second-hand charity bookshelf' and couldn't resist picking it up, so n..."The Sun is Also a Star will definitely read quicker than Ian McEwan's book! His writing tends to be pretty dense, even when the books are short.
This book I started reading in 2018 but never finished it. So I"m going to continue reading it and hopefully finish in 2019. It's also on my 19 for 2019 reading list. I have trouble reading large books. So I"ll attempt to read it again. It's Pillars of the Earth by Ken Follett

That's what I am reading (I started it this morning). Although I loved the first book and was happy to see a prompt I could use this for (and then the next 2 for the related books prompts)

Okay, so, I have a dilemma here and need your help, fellow readers. I chose The Pisces for this challenge, but I'm not sure it fits. While the challenge specifies an astronomical term, I read it as an astrological term, and chose this book. Pisces is defined as a constellation, so I think it meets the challenge...Still, what do you all think?
I'm face-palming here. 2019 is off to a rousing start! 🤦🏻♀️

I'd totally count it! It's a space-y term, which is good enough for me.
But it's your challenge, so it's totally your call if you want to use it or not!

I've been thinking the title had to contain a common astronomical term, such as moon or star, etc, but "related to" definitely broadens the search, IMO. Since Pisces is a constellation, I think it would definitely fit. Now, I'm off to search for a book!
Stacey wrote: "Okay, so, I have a dilemma here and need your help, fellow readers. I chose The Pisces for this challenge, but I'm not sure it fits. While the challenge specifies an astronomical te..."Popsugar has the "astrological term" category this year - were you thinking of that one? I know I have to keep double checking for which challenge I'm looking at!!
- What are you reading for this category? The Sun Is Also a Star
- What is its connection to astronomy?
Sun and Star in the title.
As mentioned by others, I'm finding this a quick read. I only started on the weekend and am already at 50%. The short chapters help (just one more chapter, just one more chapter :P). I'm enjoying it.

So far I've only come across one reference to Pisces, which is the main character's astrological sign, but I'm loving this novel just the same :)
