I'm in a Litsy bookclub where books and their journals make a round-robin through the mail. It's a great way to read books I wouldn't normally, although my current one falls within my interests: The Hazel Wood
Finished
Demon's Moon - 4 star, I liked the way the characters introduced in the first book are growing and the new characters introduced were interesting, hope to see more of them in the next bookStarted
Silent Child
I came across this book Lost in Love in Amazon's Hot Release list. I loved it, couldn't put it down and read it all in one day! And it's going to be part of a series (yay!)I noticed someone else has already given it a 5 star rating on here (which I will be adding to!)
Finished reading

? From what I understand, Harmony Black is a spinoff of those. It's been recommended to me several times, but I haven't yet gotten to them.
Mitabird wrote: "I'm currently re-reading American Gods
."I really enjoyed that one when I read it the first time. I'm not sure if I would choose to re-read it, though. I hope you're enjoying it!
I'm currently continuing reading the Geoff Johns-Green Lantern run (prior to the New52). I'm about halfway through this volume:
I'm also doing a first read/re-read of the Jane Yellowrock series. I'm finishing up
today and starting
.

It was not as good the second time around. It really dragged since I knew what was happening and kept wishing it would hurry along. Definitely feel this is a one-time only book.
Finished
The Tales of Iryvalya: Bloodlines - 3 star, this wasn't a bad story, the pacing was good there were just some little things that I felt were irritatingNow reading
Hard Magic

I enjoy the Harmony Black character and the world that has been created and would like to see other facets of it.

"You know, I thought that might be the case? Well, I'm sorry the experience was not as enjoyable the second time around, but at least now you know!
Treena wrote: "I just finished

"I've actually heard from people in a different group that they enjoyed the Faust books more than the Black ones. I'd be interested to know what your take is since you'll be reading them the other way around.
I found the Harmony books on sale and I believe I have the first Faust one around here somewhere...I just haven't gotten to them, yet.
I finished up my re-read of
and possibly liked it better this time around? I accidentally deleted my review, so I can't really compare, but I rated it the same (★★★★☆).I'm almost finished with
, which I'm not enjoying as much as the last, but I'm still hooked and I think looking forward to reading book 3 since I never got that far last time. :)
I finished Ascension
and while I liked it, it wasn't as good as the first one. I really like the main character but this book meandered quite a bit and I needed things to happen - 3.5 starsI'll be starting the next one, Deception
.
Mitabird wrote: "I finished Ascension

Reading Six of crows! Till now for me it didn't live up to its hype tbh! Hope that it gets better also reading Dirty red by Tarryn fisher...interesting book! Kind of written in a villain point of view!
Her Final Breath by Robert Dugoni. The author weaves a tale to keep you enthralled. He is a talented writer who draws you in to the deep emotions of the main character. This is one of my favorite genres, a thriller with all the intensity of a serial killer and the skillful detectives who work out what makes them tick and how to stop them.

Elayne wrote: "Her Final Breath by Robert Dugoni. The author weaves a tale to keep you enthralled. He is a talented writer who draws you in to the deep emotions of the main character. This is one ..."That sounds very intense. What other books would you compare those to?
I finished up

Picking Up the Pieces
Ayten wrote: "Not sure if that's how it is supposed to be done so please let me know! I am new to the whole goodreads thing."No worries! That's why we are here. What you did absolutely links to the book in question. Try this out next time you post:
While you are in the comment box, there should be a link you can click on titled "add book/author" directly above the typing space. Now, click on that, and it will bring up a second box that allows you to search for whichever book you're looking for.
Before you click "add" you can choose either "link" or "cover" at the very bottom to decide how it will display in your comment.
Please let me know if this helps!
