Celeste (celesteryr) | 488 comments Yeah! I have 100 views. Thank you for listening to my groveling.
I have had a series of half-completes right now because of my yaoi reading. I know that this is not for everybody and I am definitely part of a target audience for certain writers.

However if you look into my readings during the summer, I'm sure you'll find little gems of work like Bluebird, Bluebird. Hopefully, I'll also finish a classic as well.
Probably not: Little Women started when I was 12, got lost in Jo's letters plus I saw the movie! :( was a fan of Jo and couldn't buy the fact that Laurie just happen to notice Amy in May.

Have been Reading: 11 (500+ page books)
The Complete Fairy Tales - 803 pages
Brisingr - 748 pages
Zorro - 677 pages
Inkspell - 635 pages
Queste - 596 pages
A Wanted Man - 579 pages
Fifty Shades Freed - 579 pages
A Different Mirror: A History of Multicultural America - 560 pages
Eon: Dragoneye Reborn - 531 pages <-- 1 chapter away when I had to return it to the library!
The Son of Neptune - 521 pages
Revolutions and Revolutionary Movements - 514 pages

Celeste (celesteryr) | 488 comments Began reading Chongtak because of the yaoi {On Doorstep} but stayed because of XCoffin Jackson!!!!!

Coffin Jackson by Chongtak is SO GOOD!!! ⭐⭐⭐⭐
It is hilarious and vivid! An excellent graphic novel to add to your list of reads.
NOTE: It is NOT HOMOSEXUAL in the least, but is Gritty & Graphic.

Celeste (celesteryr) | 488 comments Heh hee ... finished a couple hard-reads. Both mystery types. Vacation is doing me well. 😄
But not much manga read ... got to get reading the Malcolm X book which I promised to read.

Celeste (celesteryr) | 488 comments XYou Don't Own Me by Mary Higgins Clark is great!

XCrime Scene, XMurder 101 and XThe Theory of Death (still currently reading...) are all books written by the Kellerman family. All are extremely popular and have won awards based off their mystery-thrillers. I recommend any of them especially Faye Kellerman, the mother and wife of the other two I've read. If there are more ... I don't know? I'd certainly love to read their works as well.

Celeste (celesteryr) | 488 comments Mummies in the Morning

Mary Pope Osborne's Magic Tree House series was a true classic for me. I spent my childhood progressing from 'A to Z mysteries' to 'Magic Tree House' to 'Harry Potter'/'Septimus Heap'/'Charlie Bone' to finally the 'Lightning Thief'. Those books were magical and it seems I had a liking for "mystery/fantasy-types" with male, brown-haired protagonists.
