THAT got my mental wheels unjammed and turning again. There was a bit of a stumble between then & now on whether or not that project would move forward and a project I was working in the meantime (which I should be able to announce soon) was also shifters. I'd already gone from Pretty Poison (shifters) to the new shifter story...Honestly, I couldn't face diving right back into another shifter story, even if it was just revisiting a world I'd already built. 3 shifter worlds that close together is the secret to a psychotic break, right? LOL. But yeah, that prequel's going to happen. Maybe after I finish the current non-shifter project. Unless (God help me) something else gets all jacked up, I should have the IO prequel in 2015.

So...a sequel, probably not. At least not anytime soon. That's still jammed up in my head. But a prequel? That, I'm rather excited about. :-)(less)

I;d intended to keep working through chemo because the side effects were really very minor for me, but then chemo brain hit and seriously fucked up my head, LOL. Lots of short-term memory problems, but what hamstrung me for work was word-dropping. That (word-dropping) still slays me, especially when I'm tired, but at this point, I've figured out a work-around to get to whatever word I can't remember.

Anyhoo, you should see Act 2 in the next month, two at the most. I'd say a month, full stop, but I'm in radiation now -- I'm almost at the end of this slog, thank you sweet baby Jesus! -- and I don't know yet how badly the fatigue truck will flatten me. If that gets bad, it's more likely to be 2 months than 1. But New Beginnings is coming, I swear. :-)(less)

Available NOW: Two Fates

Finally! A new book, a new book, hooray!

Y’all know I like to explore and move inside different shifter worlds. This time, I decided to play with the fated mate trope. What if a shifter had more than one fated mate? How would that work? And how would that shifter’s pack deal with each couple?

Two Fates was a hell of a lot of fun to write and I hope you’ll like it too!

“You have no idea how much I want to hunt you, then hold you down and fuck you until you scream with pleasure of me inside you.”
Kari Gregg, Pretty Poison

“I don't know who-what-I am anymore."

"You're mine. That's all you need to understand." His grasp tightened around Gabriel like steel bands. "Mine to feed, mine to fuck. Mine to play with, punish, and protect. Say it." Gabriel's breath locked in his chest at his furious growl. The shifter snarled Gabriel's name against the tender skin of his throat in stark warning. Gabriel's heart thudded.

"I'm yours," he gasped, scrambling to remember it all. "Yours to feed, yours to fu-" Gabriel shouted when the sharp teeth pierced him. His dick happily stirred.”
Kari Gregg, I, Omega

“Would you rather I tug your ridiculous shorts down and suck your pretty cock?" The alpha nudged Noah's thighs wider and heart pounding, Noah spread. A moan locked in his throat when Wade brushed his fingertips over Noah's balls. "Or bend you over right here and now?”

{Elliot} blinked when a blade speared neatly through the master's chest from the rear. "Got him," Garrick shouted over the master's shoulder. "Set, Elliot."
Set what?
He didn't care.
He channeled his rage and pierced the dark master through, impaling him on his blade.
Garrick slid his free.
Malachi yanked him down a split second before Garrick's sword severed his head as well as the dark master's. Chest heaving, he sprawled in the dust, blinking at the fuzzy image of the head bouncing across the floor. It came to rest at the bottom spoke of a crumbling ladder, the vampyr's teeth still gnashing.
His new partner dragged him upright and, looking in his eyes, squeezed his shoulder. "Set means your blade will set the enemy for your partner's killing blow" Malachi grinned at him, chuckled. "It also means duck.”

Syfy You recommended a book to me a long time ago, and I just wanted to let you know that after months of bitching I finished it. LOVED IT! Thanks Kari!

Kari Gregg Woo hoo, Lauren! Glad you liked IO. :D

IO's going to have a sequel, yes, but the idea for it is still cooking in my brain. It's not ready yet.

message 25: by Lauren

Lauren Thanks for the friendship. I now have all your books listed in my "to-read" folder.

I loved I, Omega!!!

Any chance of a series??? LOL :)

Kari Gregg Yeah, the collect-friends-at-any-cost thing happens a lot. I personally don't see the point. A lot of work, sending a gazillion friend requests to people who share zero interests w/ me...why? I'd rather focus time & energy on the writers & readers I do actually have something to talk about with. Go figure. LOL

Josephine Myles Hi Kari - thanks for friending me here! :D

And I ask that question because I was getting all sorts of friend requests from people who seemed to have no interest whatsoever in m/m fiction. Really, what would be the point of them friending me? I think they're just collecting numbers.

message 17: by Taylor

Taylor Donovan That's true... and will probably happen to lots of us.

Kari Gregg Taylor wrote: "Really? That's interesting! Care to tell me why?? LOL"

Because I was buried in setting my writerly self up, LOL. Plus, I was also prepping 2 other books for release...Actually, I'm prepping 2 more books this time too (he he he), but it's not like I have to go put up a website, open a business-only bank account or whatnot. So I can have more fun with it. Woot!

Scroll past What You Want Version 2 to download/listen to What You Want.

My DH wanted the music from the LW book trailer for the car. ;-)

message 3: by Kari

Kari Gregg If you don't already have Movie Maker, download it! It's very intuitive. If you know how to work with images, you should be able to pick up MM right away and you know how to manipulate images, which means you have the foundation skills to pull of something truly spectacular with a book trailer.

Try not to be too unimpressed with mine...2 books coming out so close together and me scrambling to set my writerly self up, I didn't have time to play with my stock images like I wanted. Still, I don't think I did too badly given the time crunch.

message 2: by Kari

Kari Gregg This is my first try at a cover, LC. Have you tried making book trailers yet? Those are so fun, should be illegal.

message 1: by Kari

Kari Gregg Yeah, Josh's idea to have the contest was brilliant great fun. You did the mock-ups of the 3 together, right? Or am I wrong? Regardless, I thought they were very cool. I think I may be in the minority, but I liked the first one best. :D
