I listed Up the Down Staircase to include in my list. I will probably finish it before the marathon. So....I have decided to include a book of short stories that influenced Agatha Christie, In the Shadow of Agatha Christie: Classic Crime Fiction by Forgotten Female Writers: 1850-1917.

I love all your prep! It goes directly to my type A heart. I love San Diego. I visited several times when by brother was posted at Camp Pendleton. Then he had to go and get transferred. May find another time to get back out that way though.
Happy Birthday to your son. Enjoy your day of reading!
I'm finishing "Death by DNA" that I had already started. Great page turner. Happy Birthday to your son.
I like it, but have only read abt 35 more pages of it.I started reading All-American Murder: The Rise and Fall of Aaron Hernandez, the Superstar Whose Life Ended on Murderers' Row and I literally can't put it down.
I made him and big french toast and bacon bfast and now he is going out with his gf for the evening so it worked out perfectly. I also made him another cake. :)
How is your reading going?
Looks like you are reading some real page-turners. What excellent Readathon choices! Good luck on the second half of the RAT.
the show is so good if you haven't seen it! its actually filmed near me. I have only seen season 1 though. I didn't know there was a book about him, I have read so much in the media and is whole life and post-prison time is so crazy.
I finished Daisy Jones & The Six, it just wasnt my kind of book. But if you have any interest in music or 70s music scene, i would recommend it. Also i think reese witherspoon is doing a movie version...?
I saw there was a show. I am not sure what channel. Is it HULU? I will check it out.The book abt him (AH) was a Good Reads choice award nominee which surprised me until I saw that one of the authors was James Patterson.

REVERSE READ A THONFriday, August 2 at 5pm (pacific) to Saturday, August 3 at 5pm (pacific).
My husband is going to be out of town this weekend so I will have no distractions!
Thinking about my TBRThese are some possibilities for the Read a Thon. If I don't pick some out, I will spend too much time browsing for what to read! Once I see my August challenges, I may swap some out.
Short Stories possibilities
Blue on Black
Angle of InvestigationAudible possibilities
The Last Time I LiedNovels possibilities
The Silent Patient
Red Clocks
The Last Mrs. Parrish
Beneath the Attic
Date Night
Welcome back! Oooh you've got some good choices! I loved The Last Time I Lied and The Silent Patient! Red Clocks was alright for me, I might've enjoyed it more reading it instead of listening to it.
