Steve Day (stuspenz57) | 2 comments Hello, I am Steve Day. I am writing a book series on the multiverse between Heaven, Earth, and Hell. While it did not start out that way, it has become a highly engaging parallel between today's issues in politics and religion. Suggesting that some of the stuff we see just can't be without some unseen forces designing the human conditions. Join me in a complex tale of "What if?"

Jamie Slaats (jamieslaats) | 3 comments Hello all you amazing people!

My name is Jamie Slaats. I am a Canadian who lives in Vienna, Austria for the last 14 years. I work in the tech industry mostly software, maybe business and marketing and really a bit of everything today as I'm also currently self employed.

In 2020 I have written a book called Upgrading Earth: It Was Never Meant to Be Saved, It Was Always Meant to Be Upgraded! which can be found on all the major retailers or on my website upgradingearth.org.

All in all, I am one who has a world view that there is purpose to everything around us. After years of just life and research and growing as a person, one question kept coming up. That is, is there a practical purpose to earth? Does one exist. As really evolutionary science doesn't answer it. In a way religion and faith answers a bit about that humans have purpose. But rarely you ever hear about the purpose of the earth. So it would be natural, if earth has a purpose then it is clear, so do we. It's my little attempt to bring some hope, joy and purpose into the world and share what I've discovered. Maybe, it will be interesting to others?

Otherwise, when not in friggin lockdown, I love bike riding, hiking, jogging, meeting friends at the amazing Viennese café's, discussing over topics of faith, religion, philosophy, business, tech and video calling with my family in Canada.

All the best to you all and happy to join this group!
Cheers,
Jamie

Jonathan Azzarello | 2 comments Hello, I just wrote my first book, "You Are What You Worship: How true worship shapes us into the people we were made to be." I'm a worship pastor, but this book is not about worshiping at church on Sundays. It's about all of life as worship. This book changed my life and I pray it changes yours. Blessings, Jon

message 1015: by John (new)

John | 2 comments Hello, I'm John,

I live in Monmouth and appreciate the outdoors. I try, even in the deepest, darkest part of the winter, to find a spot and get reading. (lockdown unfortunately put paid to that).

I read the odd thriller; not too many enthrall me. I'm reading, 'The Third Man', Graham Greene at present. My first fiction for some time. It's said to be one of the 'greats'; and Mr Greene is said to have spent time with the intelligence service in that neck-of-the-woods. We'll see.

I'm really more into true accounts, which tell of the critical events in modern history: the wars: the spies: the devious, dirty-dealings.

message 1028: by Mary (new)

Mary Miller | 1 comments I am Mary Jane Miller. That statement is mysterious enough. Although I write about Iconography and Christianity for 3 decades living in Mexico, it is clear the idea of religion and spirituality keeps changing! The concept of spirit energy is expansive, the goal in realizing who we are is like hitting mercury with a hammer. It moves, it changes yet is ever the same. Mercury is a perfect metaphor for how I see the world. Mercury has an intrinsic desire to be unified, connected and here and now. That same powerful desire to unify is found in art, religion and ritual. My books are about tickling the norm and realizing traditions change and for good reasons. The journey has been fantastic. This group reflects the varied dimensions of mind and lifestyle. I am happy to participate and learn from the other members, and other perspectives peace on the planet.

I love nature and all animals. I also like to draw using charcoal and pastels, paint using water colours not that I'm very good but I enjoy it.
I suppose you could also call me a bit of a conspiracy nut (lol) as I'm very sceptical about a great deal that has been going on in the world this century and before with some groups??
I've seen many U.F.O.'s so believe in life in other dimensions and planets. That's about it you could say I'm a little weird as there are other things that I'm not comfortable sharing.

message 1041: by Lindsay (new)

Lindsay Murray Hey there. I write a novel about a teenager who gets involved in a private military group that rescues women and children from human trafficking. They also have super-technology that lets them basically hack anything.

Also she can read minds so that's cool.

Yeah it's fiction. it's a little ridiculous. But it's a story that is relevant and pokes a lot of fingers at government corruption and mainstream media bullshit.

Follow me or reach out if you'd like updates. The book is titled Playing Agent Smith Smith and will be published sometime early 2022.

message 1042: by [deleted user] (new)

Hi!
I've loved reading and writing for most of my life. I read pretty much anything except encyclopedias and horror stories but particularly like classics and historical fiction.

I'm fascinated by true conspiracies (there is a difference between "true conspiracies"--which are conspiracy theories backed with proof or evidence--and "conspiracy theories"--which are not yet backed with evidence). I love freedom and learning what can be done to preserve it. I'm really excited to be a part of this group and to be able to exchange thoughts and opinions, as well as for the opportunity to think critically.

message 1043: by Parker (new)

Parker Boughton | 1 comments Hello Undergrounders!

I'm reaching out because I'm a reader with a dream. I envision a place where book readers of all kinds can find their tribe. A place where readers can be free from normal book club conventions to control their social reading experience. I envision a place I've dubbed, Readitt.

I can't reveal anything just yet, but what I can offer is a chance for you to be part of the beginning of this project. You see, I'm doing research on what readers like you want for their online book club experience. So I've put together a short survey to find the best candidates for further study.

I don't know how to promise that this is legit, other than by telling the truth. I'm a User Experience Design student and Readitt is a capstone project of mine that I intend on seeing through, from concept to reality. If you help me out, not only will you get to play with future prototypes and shape its development, but you'll proudly know you helped bring a reading tool into the world that you want.

If you are explorative and this sounds good to you then click the link to fill out a short, typeform survey.
