Excellent choice -- I've read this one twice, once in HS and again in college.

by Catherine Coulter. This is maybe 18th
In the series starring Savich & Sherlock.

Theresa,
We happen to be watching the movie - will finish tonight - and it's quite good.

Now reading: The Tudor Conspiracy

I've always meant to re-read Gone With the Wind! One of these days....

I enjoy Barclay and Harlan Coben books because all the twist and turns their books always have.

GWTW is a favorite of mine. Read it when I was 12!

Finished this and while the writing is good, I can't say I particularly liked it, especially the ending. Time for a cozy now I think...

A bust is definitely a bad thing!! A blast would be good! :-)
Have started Emma for a group read. I read it in HS and did not care for it, so we'll see what I think after this reread -- provided I ever get through it. ;)

Kirsten -- I've found my feelings tend not to change too much in rereads, but every once in a while I am surprised. I've read both books you mentioned twice and enjoyed them both times.

I read both The Witness and Angels & Demons and enjoyed both.
I'm finally past the quarter mark in Emma, and am remembering why I did not care for it. It's slow and plodding. I hate that it's taking so long to get through this one. If I make it to the end I definitely deserve a reward. Or, at the very least, ice cream. :-/

Emma is my least favorite Jane Austen novel so far (I still have to read Persuasion). Emma drove me nuts. Definitely ice cream when you're done; perhaps some chocolate at the mid-way point if you haven't thrown the book across the room. :)

Definitely, ice cream. A big one.

Ah, Persuasion. When I was in my early to mid twenties - Pride and Prejudice was my favorite. Then late-twenties my opinion shifted and I like Persuasionmore. More mature story I think.
Emma can be nerve grating. If I want to revisit it, I'll watch the movie. Takes less of my time.

@Christina - Persuasion is one of my favorite of Jane Austen's after Pride & Prejudice and Northanger Abbey
Thanks, Jennifer and Mary Jo. I'm glad I'm not alone in disliking Emma.
Christina -- LOL, on watching the movie to revisit Emma. I do have the movie, as well as the more prefered Clueless. I also liked Persuasion quite a bit. In fact, Emma is the only one I haven't liked.

I guess I'm in the minority here. I read Emma in high school and loved it. Of course, I was the student that really enjoyed everything I had to read in school - Dickens, Austen, Shakespeare, etc. I enjoyed it all. About the only thing I remember reading in high school and college that I didn't enjoy was Paradise Lost, Kafka and Brothers Karamazov.

Not totally in the minority Teresa - Emma is my mom's favorite Austen novel, and I know quite a few people who have read it and loved it. :)
