Thanks, Laura. Unfortunately, I have not had much time to spend with it this week, and the weekend does not look promising, either. :-/

Lacey (she2beautiful) | 13659 comments I just finished Dark Heir by Faith Hunter which is an urban fantasy. I personally love this series and a lot of other urban fantasy. They're really fast paced and exciting, plus they usually have a little romance in them to spice things up a bit. :)

I started reading it a few months ago for a classic group read, got about halfway through . . . and stalled. I do hope to get back to it some day, but it's not likely to happen any time soon.

message 5538: by Lacey (new)

Lacey (she2beautiful) | 13659 comments I'm about halfway through right now and I can understand how you can stall out on reading it. For me I have moments where I have to reread a paragraph just to make sure I'm understanding exactly what Hardy is trying to say. But I am enjoying it so far and one of the main reasons is because it's so different from what I normally read. It's a nice change.

Still working on Villette. Finished Vol 2 last night and read the first chapter of Vol 3. Part two went a lot faster than the first -- owing, I believe, to there being more action. Here's hoping the third and final section goes even faster than the second. I'd like to read more than one book this month. :-\

I loved The Girl Who Played With Fire on audio. It was all Lisbeth all the time and I am a huge Lisbeth fan so that helped :)

I haven't read one of her's since Unhallowed Ground, which was a huge disappointment, primarily due to lack of editing. I only finished because I wanted to know how it ended, but felt like the publisher owed me my money back for selling an unfinished product.
