I have a couple on the go: Where'd You Go, Bernadette by Maria Semple as well as The Paris Wife by Paula McLain.I also just finished
by Marta Tandori and really enjoyed it. It is the fourth in the Kate Stanton Mystery series.
I've been reading Gone Girl
by Gillian Flynn and listening to A Fire in the Sun
by George Alec Effinger.I'm only 1/4 of the way into Gone Girl, but it's not nearly as good as The Girl on the Train
or Before I Go To Sleep
IMHO.
I'm reading nothing cozy at the moment, which is very odd for me! Love Finds You in Charm, Ohio by Annalisa Daughety
The Truth and other Lies by Sascha Arango to review
Huckleberry Harvest by Jennifer Beckstrand to review

One of my favorite YA series. Enjoy!
I have a few books in the pot right now. Golden Son
is amazing but is taking years off my life with the tension,
The Truth According to Us and Time's Edge
. All are very good so far.

Christina, have you read Marie Lu's LEGEND trilogy? IMHO, it's one of the very best YA dystopian series out there.
Heather L wrote: "Have started a children's classic from 1936 by Upton Sinclair, The Gnomobile."I loved the movie but didn't know it was based on a book. Of course, knowing Disney, the movie bears little resemblance to the original book. Something new to add to the ever growing TBR pile.

"Read that earlier this year for a group read on another board. Great book!
I finished reading The Year We Left Home
by Jean Thompson yesterday.https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...

You would be correct in assuming the movie is nothing like the book. Granted, it's been a really long time since I've seen the movie, but what I do remember was nothing like the book. I think Disney took the main plot -- gnomes in the Redwoods -- and then went their own way. It was still a fun, adventurous read, though.

When not reading cozies... Lately I've been distracted by e-freebie romances. Some books, some novellas, some short stories... I can get through a few a day. My annual page count is still increasing, but my cozy reading has suffered.
Right now I am reading a few books, The Paris Wife on my tablet along with My Grandmother Asked Me to Tell You She's Sorry also on my tablet and Exposure which is a YA book from Kathy Reichs. Have 3 cozies waiting to be read as well. Too many books, not enough time.
Just finished reading Gun, With Occasional Music
by Jonathan Lethemhttps://www.goodreads.com/review/show...

Just finished Station Eleven
- wow. Amazing.
And I also finished
A New Dawn on audio. It was pretty good, the narrator is top notch.

Finished reading the second book in the Marid Audran trilogy today. Very sad to think I'll only have one more book in the Budayeen, sad indeed.

Just finished reading Brown Girl Dreaming
by Jacqueline Woodsonhttps://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
Currently I'm reading a steampunk series by Pip Ballantine and Tee Morris and I'm on the third novel Dawn's Early Light and I think it is seriously awesome. Definitely different but totally worth reading.
Ramla Zareen wrote: "I am currently reading Married in Seattle

Currently, I am reading
. I read
and found that it was the second book in the series. So I am now reading the first book.
I'm reading Long Way Home: A World War II Novel. I always enjoy WWII books, maybe because my Dad was in the Air Force in the Pacific during the war?
Just finished reading (unfortunately) Gone Girl
by Gillian Flynnhttps://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
I just finished reading Euphoria
by Lily King which was inspired by actual events in the life of Margaret Mead.https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...

I can understand the association Kirsten, esp. since
the story takes place about 50 years ago now.
Reading 10 Code. Short stories written by law enforcement personnel in honor of those who have lost their lives in the line of duty. Fantastic stuff.

I really enjoy Kristan Higgins books :)
Read A Deadly Web by Kay Hooper over the weekend. It was an okay read, but - though I don't remember much about it - I did not enjoy this one as much as the first in the series (The First Prophet).
