"Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe 'I know, right?' tends to be said in the middle of conversation. However, I am displeased, not upset, at what I have written," Lux said offhandedly while continuing her scowl at her journal.

Lux didn't respond, instead opting to close her journal and pull out a different one which she hoped would be more palatable.
Lux laughed at one of her own sentences.
Lux flipped the page a couple of times before groaning at seeing an old doodle.
Apparently, this journal wasn't any better than the last. Lux put it away with a sigh. She didn't try another journal.
Lux looked at her and frowned. "Why does that matter?"
Lux shrugged. "Okay. Maybe I will, maybe I won't. I don't know."
"What are you doing here?" Lux asked eventually, after having closed her eyes for a couple minutes.
"It's easier to think if there aren't five different groups of people talking about five different topics."
"Ah, the Common Room's busy then? I haven't been there since the morning," Lux replied.
"Oh. . ." Lux said. "But it was most of the house? Maybe it was a couple of joint study sessions."
"You don't happen to know the time, do you?" Lux said a little sheepishly.
"What about the time of day?" Lux asked.
"Then we're just as clueless then," Lux laughed.
Lux sighed, stretching and closing her eyes again, settling to mentally work through a couple potions problems before taking a nap.
"Did you know the chair you ate sitting on was make out of wood from the Enchanted Forest?" Sammy asked. "As is the table."
Lux opened one eye. "No. . . .Did you know herbaria is one of the more potent potion ingredients but also one of the least used? You aren't even taught its properties in school." She closed the one eye she'd opened.
"To start, it'll explode if you don't keep it at exactly the right temperature," Lux said.
"And it's technically a potion all in itself, but it is used more in other potions than by itself, so it is classified as a potion ingredient," Lux continued, happy to be talking about her favorite subject.
"Interesting." Sammy said. Sheopened her mouth as if about to say something else, but changed her mind.
((Sorry. Didn't see that you'd posted.))
Lux noticed. "What?" she asked, furrowing her brow.
Lux noticed. "What?" she asked, furrowing her brow.
((Okay))
"You were about to say something," Lux pointed out.
"You were about to say something," Lux pointed out.
Lux rolled her eyes. "Something, genius. You could tell me."
Lux frowned. "From your face, I scarcely believe that is true. You look like you're lying."
"I'm not!" Sammy said. "I might have been about to say something, but I can't remember what it was now."
"For a second there, you were demonstrating some of the key clues that someone was lying," Lux said slowly, blinking a couple times. She massaged her forehead. "Sorry." She closed her eyes again, wondering how long it would be until Sammy spoke again.
Sammy didn't like talking to people. They interrupted her thinking most of the time. Lux, however, just seemed to make Sammy want to think even more.
Lux began to nod off a bit. It wasn't that she was bored. More rather, she had finished her book on potions and had decided against rereading her own journals. In her half-nodded off state, she had always found that she was better at coming up with ideas, and she loved ideas.
Sammy hesitated. She felt like starting a conversation with Lux, but didn't know how to do that. She only talked to people when she felt she had to.
Finally, Lux got an idea and beamed, leaping to her feet. "I've got it!" She exclaimed, jumping to her feet in excitement. "I was working on it for days! Thought if I read my potions books again and maybe looked into historical patterns to try to figure out other ways of thinking and other ideas to help synthesize the information I'd figure it out, and lo! I did!" Lux clapped her hands and laughed.
