Elements of the Heart (Red and Gemma)
JohnI nod as the shadow girl speaks up. She tells me as long as he takes the icyn we should be able to track him down. Hopefully that will lead back to where Mari is. I really hope she is right.
She says he is here and her and the others step into this giant shadow portal thing. I take a breath and try to chill out so I don't alert Crow that something is wrong.
I hear him at the door and all I can think is show time.
CoraI disguise the shadow portal almost like a mirror effect. We can see him but he can’t see us. We wait on the other side when I looked back at the Snow guy. When he opens the door I feel my heart stop. Almost like if I was naturally afraid of him or something like that.
The tan looking guy with a dragon tattoo on his forearm looks over at Snow and gives him a devil like grin
“So you got the goods?” He asks.
JohnHe comes in and gives me a devil like grin, asking me if I got the goods. I nod a little and gesture to the packed up product. "It's at least twenty kilos since I had a little more time then I originally thought. Sell it off, get rid of it, whatever. I just want my cut and I'm done." I tell him.
CoraI gulped a little bit trying not to sound or be as panicked as I initially thought I’d be. But I just focus on getting a good opening against the bastard. I looked over at June and just wanted to make sure he was okay.
Crow goes over to the table and brings out his duffel bag placing the icyn in the bag. He was trying very well to not show he was an elemental. Once he packs the bags he takes out a little bag that looked like it was filled with money when he looks at Snow.
“I am sorry about your girl man. But hey you got any leads on her whereabouts yet?”
JohnHe comes over and packs up the icyn in a duffel before taking out a bag of money. He tells me he is sorry about my girl and asks if I got any leads. It takes all my will power not to throttle him for asking me that, the smug bastard.
"Nothing concrete yet. I'm still hoping something will pan out since I'm not leaving until I get her back." I tell him.
Juni
I glare at the guy a little. He was hiding it well but I could feel that same energy as before. He was definitely our guy. I glance over and see Cora looking at me for a moment. I nod a little to let her know I am fine. John was doing well so far and I could tell it was taking him a lot not to snap at the asshole who took his friend.
CoraI am literally feeling the heart beat at my throat. Oh god please Snow keep it together but it’s like this guy has a psychic ability to know when he’s pushing anyone’s buttons. Crow nods his head and just smiled a little
“Well it’s good to know that you aren’t giving up. As long as you don’t do anything crazy like give yourself up you should be fine. God forbid they’re not into torturing poor elementals. I mean just imagine what horrors they can do onto a poor fragile white bunny.” He says it in such a condescending way. What is he doing?
JohnI grit my teeth a little as he says it is good that I am not giving up and that as long I don't do anything rash then I should be fine. He adds condescendingly that hopefully they aren't torturing her. I clench my fists a little narrowing my eyes.
"Well let's hope not because I would make sure that anyone who hurts her pays dearly for hurting what is mine." I say deadly serious. I swear if he hurt her.
CoraI swear if that stupid crow doesn’t leave now. I don’t think snow can tolerate so much of this guys pompous attitude.
“You’re right lets hope that whoever is helping SEU hold her knows how wrathful her boyfriend is. Oh wait did you two by any chance got the talk out of the way. Or did you just bang her one time to see if she’s worth keeping.” He teases him and I am at a loss here. Why is he dreading on and on to Snow.
I looked at June hoping that maybe she can sense the poor girl.
John"Fuck you, Crow. You don't get to talk about her like that." I snarl at him after he makes a crude comment about Mariana. "I'm going to show you how wrathful I can be if you keep talking about her like that." I hope they were doing whatever they needed to do because I was starting to get really pissed with him.
Juni
I focus hard trying to felt even just a blip, a flicker of the girl's energy. Snow is doing his best not to beat the shit of Crow and I kind of want to do it a little myself. The guy is a jerk and totally poking the bear with his comments.
I finally feel what I have been searching for and nod to them. "Four to five blocks from here." I whisper.
CrowI find that little shadow pearl stashed in the satchel and I wait for it. Letting my power linger around it when I make direct eye contact with the poor bastard. “Alright. I won’t say a word about her if that’s what you wish. But now that we’re parting ways I should give you an advice before I leave.”
I said walking over to him and placing my hand on his shoulder. “It’s really rude to try double cross a business partner. But to show you I forgive you, I’ll give you a treat.” I let my element sip into his skin. Giving him the memory of the Mariana girl and the past two hours of torture. The memory clouding his real time senses as I stepped away and crushed the shadow in my grasps.
I feel my other half’s pain when the shadow window appeared and she came out of it writhing in pain along with the others.
“Well well to what do I owe this surprise.” I smiled when the fire elemental raises his gun at me.
“Put your hands in the air and freeze.” He growls and I think it’s cute. With a blink of an eye I’m behind him hitting him right behind his neck knocking him out before I appeared right back at my original spot.
“Speed of light. Comes in handy doesn’t it Sparky.” I looked right back at the lightning elemental.

The crow guy says he won't say a word about the Mariana girl bit now that they are parting ways, he wanted to give him some advice. He walks over and tells him it is really rude to double cross a business partner.
Things seem to happen in the blink of an eye. John seems to freeze and curses, his eyes glazed over like he was seeing something we weren't. Crow steps away and crushes what looks like a shadow. Cora is writhing in pain as the shadows around us fade away.
Leo raises his gun and tells him to put his heads in the air and freeze. Sean is trying to help Cora who is still in pain. Before anyone can stop him, Crow knocks Leo out. He taunts Sean about being the speed of light and doesn't it come in handy.
"Sure does, especially when I get you." He growls.
I'm pissed and I am pretty sure we all our. This guy had already took half us down. "You picked the wrong day to mess with us." I say as my eyes change colors. Flicking from red to green to grey to blue.
I do something that I really try not to do often. I use all four of my elemental powers. Vines wrap around his legs and arms. Water bubbles around his upper head, letting him breath but blurring his sight. Fire forms a ring around his body and the wind feeds it.
I could fry him alive in the blink of an eye. The problem is I could only hold this for five minutes at max on a good day. Right now I would be lucky to make it two even three minutes. Any more then that and I would start risking major damage to my body.
"Sean. Cora. I need you to cuff this guy or something. We need to contain him."
CoraI feel like there’s something that was literally burning inside of me. Like if my nucleus was tearing me apart from the inside and out when I see June trying her best to help us out here. When she urges us for someone to cuff him.
I try to get on my feet when a blink of an eye the fire disappears around the asshole. And the vines turn to ash as the water bubble just evaporated and he’s standing there clapping his hands. “Oh god that was a good attempt miss avatar. And just because you amused me so. I’m going to give you a gift. A gift to purify your mind.”
He grins and he was gone before two white spheres appear right next to June’s head and they sink into her. He reappears again when he raises his hand and vines appear around Sean’s neck.
“Consider you lucky to have all of your real memories back Avatar.” He laughed and I couldn’t take it. I rushed towards him tackling him to the floor before I tried punching him but he dodges and tries to twist my arm over my neck before I laced around. We were just attacking and dodging and I tried to give anyone a chance to get away.
Before he grabbed my throat and slammed me to the wall. “You’re exquisite my little black pearl. You’re my little exception.” He whispers to me before he leans in and kisses me. I see Leo waking up and tried to shoot him before fire appeared and blocked them.
“I just need something from that little dew drop and I’ll be back for you my Yang.” He winks at me before he disappears and I fall to the floor.
JuniCora is trying to get up and Sean is help her but before anyone can do anything. Crow beats everything, everyone of my elemental powers is broken and he is free. He claps his hands and says that was a good attempt. He adds he is going to give me a gift to purify my mind.
I cry out as it feels like my head splits open. Oh jeez... I remember everything... my adopted parents. They're scientist for SEU. They were trying to create a lab create elemental. They did this to me. I feel betrayed and hurt. I trusted them, treated them like real parents and they treated me like a lab rat and erased my memories.
Sean
I growl as Crow does something to Juni and then before I can help anyone. Vines wrap around my neck. Cora throws herself at him, attacking him but he attacks and dodges. "Son of a bitch." I snarl as he slams her into the wall and kisses her after whispering something.
Leo comes around and tries to shoot him but he blocks it. Next thing we know he is gone. Cora falls to the floor, the vines untangle from my neck. Snow looked dazed and pissed as he comes out of whatever Crow did to him.
Juni... damn... she looked broken. She collapses to the floor with a haunting sob and suddenly black thorns burst out of the floor. They engulf her. Jeez they were like the ones before when she had been passed out.
LeoI honestly didn’t even know what the hell happened. One minute that ass hole was pushing on Snows buttons like he knew something that none of us knew. And the next are asses are literally handed to him and he didn’t even blink or bleed. That’s what pisses me off.
I turned to look at June just dismantle herself of pain. I lite ally drop my own gun and everything and went to her side but it was too late she was surrounded by spikes. I growled under my breath what did that bastard do to her.
“June.. talk to me.” I begged
JuniI curl up in a ball, darkness surrounding me. It hurt, it hurt so much. I had always thought of them like my parents and they lied to me. They kept this from me. All this time I never understood why my elemental powers reacted so badly. Now I knew why. My body wasn't meant to have them.
I hear Leo calling me to me, but I just curl up tighter in my darkness. I didn't want to see anyone, just sit in the darkness. My life felt like it was shattering in front of my eyes.
Sean
I go over to Cora and help her sit up. "Are you okay? Did he hurt you?" I ask her softly looking her over. I was still super pissed that the asshole just kissed her like it was nothing. I swear next time he was getting his ass kicked if he touches her.
I glance over and see Leo trying to get though to Juni. The black thorns seem to just grow more in the ball that covers her. Their spikes growing sharper and longer. Jeez Crow really must have done a number on her.
LeoI see the spikes growing and I knew that she was hurting pretty bad. But I was here until the very end. I placed my hand against one of the thorns and the thing pricked me but I didn’t care at all. I kissed the thorn and just held onto it
“I don’t know what happened babe. But I love you and I can give you a guarantee that I’m real. Watson is real. And whatever you’re suffering I’m here.”
JuniI can feel him press his hand to the thorns, feel them prick him. But he kisses them and holds onto it as he tells me doesn't know what happened. That he loves me and he can guarantee he is real, Watson is real. Whatever I am suffering I didn't have to face alone because he is here for me.
The thorns start to fade away and I throw myself into his arms. My face buried against his neck as I sob. "I'm a lab rat. My adopted parents... they are scientist and were trying to make a lab created elemental." I cry, clinging to him.
LeoI looked at her completely shocked that she just threw her arms around me. I hear her crying and telling me that her adoptive parents weren’t real. That they were just some freak scientists. I cursed under my breath but I hold her close to me.
“I’m so sorry darling. I didn’t know.” I said shocked not realizing how low the government would go to try to monopolize elementals. For what I know those thorns are her real essence. Who knows what’s happened to her
“I am real babe. My feelings for you are real.”
JuniHe holds me close to him, cursing a little. He tells me he is so sorry and he didn't know. I sniffle a little. "I didn't either. He... he did something. It made the memories come back. They made me forget everything about that."
I hug him a little tighter as he tells me he is real and his feelings are real. "I believe you." I whisper softly, pulling a while a little. I wipe my eyes with my hands feeling a little embarrassed about breaking down and crying like that. I never did that but this was just all too much. To learn that your life had been a lie was painful especially when you loved it.
CoraI looked up at Sean when he came to my side. Of course scared as hell when we just went up against an elemental that whooped us all. I looked back at a snow and bit my lip. “I’m okay darling. It just sucks what we went through is all.” I explained to him and just tried to get up on my feet.
“Snow. What did he say to you? Or I mean what did he show you?” I asked him. Wanting to know why was he keeping that ooor girl.
JohnEveryone else looks shaken up and Crow is gone. I growl and curse, punching the wall. I look over at Cora who asks me what he said to me or what he showed me. Her partner helping her up, looking at her worried.
"He showed me Mariana... he's torturing her." I growl through gritted teeth. "He wants to push her elemental powers. When she is really scared her elemental powers kind of kick into overdrive and she can do something really powerful and dangerous."
I frown hating her was torturing her for that. To forcefully make her use it. "She can control the water in a person's blood and basically control them."
"Holy shit." Sean says with a whistle.
CoraI see the poor guy looked so beyond pissed. He looks like a freaking rabid dog just going out of his mind for his mate. I looked back over at him when he tells us that Crow is torturing the poor girl. I am just sad because i knew that there was something that was happening to her and i didn't say shit.
"Wait what?" I said in disbelief. "She can blood bend? It's been centuries since there's been any sightings of this power. No water elemental can do that," I said to him but i guess... now the accident makes sense and why her lingering shadows were so different.
"How long can she hold that power back?" I asked him
John"I'm not sure but given how beat up she looked. I'm guessing not long." I tell her after she asks me how long Mari can hold that back. I clench my fist a little pissed that he was hurting her, pissed I didn't keep her safe.
I swear he was going to pay for hurting her, for scaring her and taking her away from me. I just hoped she knew I would come for her. No matter where, no matter how far. I would always come to save her.
CoraI bite down on my lip when i saw him so freaking pissed and i get where he was coming from but right now i didn't even know what to say to the poor guy.
"After feeling his power seeing the way he reacted towards all of us. I know what element he is." I said letting out a slow breath out and just pinched my nose.
"He's a light elemental. Like me... They only come out every few centuries but... they're rare as well. So I don't even know what else he can do aside from absorbing our elements."

"Well... shit. I mean if he can absorb our elements and use them against us. How the hell do we beat him?" I ask, everyone looks stumped at the question too.
"What about her thing?" Snow says nodding over to Juni. "I don't know what the hell that thorn thing was but I have never seen it before."
Cora"That's just it I think he needs to feel them in order to absorb them. I mean why else is he trying to force Mariana to use her blood bending on him? SO he can copy it and then... a blood elemental user as a king pin of the underground. Now that's going to be more of a head ache than the corrupt government going up against elementals." I tell them
I looked over at June and i just shake my head. "I don't know i mean, all he needs to do is be attacked by it and as far as i can tell he heals at an alarming rate. That's how he's torturing Mariana, he's hiting her and then healing her just to repeat the process. We have to be smart about this." I tell them
Sean"Fuck him and his stupid plans. I just want Mari back." Snow says looking beyond pissed. I knew how it felt. Seeing Crow kiss Cora was really pissing me off. If I was in Snow's shoes I would be seething with rage that someone dared to hurt someone I care about.
"We're going to get her back." I tell him. "Trust me, everyone here wants a shot at him. Sure he might be strong and powerful but we have five heads here to plot how to take his ass down."
MarianaI was trying my best not to throw up blood as of right now. I'm wet to every layer of clothes i had. When the bastard left, i was able to drag myself to the nearest sink and just touch the water. Letting myself be one with the water until i appeared in a park's water fountain.
I gripped onto the edges but i just stayed inside of the fountain. It was late at night so i doubt anyone was going to force me out of here.
"John..." I whispered hoping... that i could gather my strength somehow.
Cora
"Yeah... I mean sure he can take all of the elements but how if the gods of olympus can take down they're father we can too.... in a way okay." I tell him just trying to calm him down right now. Until... I feel her.
"She appeared. She's somewhere wet. Uhhh i'm sorry that guy... I can't track her right. June?" I asked her
JuniCora tries to calm down Snow who is pissed as all hell and I can't blame him. I really don't like that Crow guy either right now. We all look at Cora surprised when she says Mariana appeared somewhere wet.
"Four to five blocks. Probably back in that area by the coffee shop." I tell them after Cora asks me if I can track her since Crow was messing with her tracking skills.
"There is a park with a big fountain just across the way of the coffee shop." Snow chimes in.
"Well then let's go hurry up and get her." I say getting up. My knees give out and I fall into Leo's arms. "Dammit, I hate the draw backs of these stupid lab elemental powers." I mumble.
CoraI looked back at June when i see Leo catch her when he knees knock her down. I just shake my head when June is trying to be just a little bit too much of a power girl.
"June you got to call it a day, we all do. Right now we just have... Find Mariana. Sean you're the one that has speed of light go and get her. John pack what you need because we're going to have to take you to my apartment. It's very well guarded." I tell him when i look at Leo.
"Take her home and have her rest. Everyone take the day and we'll regroup later."
SeanCora shakes her head and tells Juni to call it a day since she was looking pretty worn out. She tells me to go get Mariana and for John to pack a bag so he can stay at her apartment. He nods and looks at me.
"Please be quick." I nod and take off turning to pure lightning as I move back to the coffee shop. I spot the fountain and see the girl in it.
"Hey there, I know this is going to be hard to believe but I am here to help you. John sent me." I tell her as I lean down to scoop her up out of the fountain.
CoraI see Sean go and i let out a fresh sigh of relief when Leo excuses himself and carries June out of the way. He hated that he hurt her with bringing on the past that is leaving her in shambles right now.
I looked back at John. "Go on, it shouldn't take Sean long to get her." I tell him and just feel my heart so uneasy right now.
Mariana
I opened my eyes when i hear someone right nest to me. I bite my lip a little bit when i see the man just carefully come at me. He didn't feel like that Crow guy so I let him just carry me.
I winced a little at my sides because it hurt a lot right now. I closed my eyes a bit and just held onto him.
"Just please take me to him." I begged.
SeanShe winces a little but she closes her eyes, holding onto me. She begs me to take her to John. I nod a little and carefully zip us back to the apartment building. I arrive back there and see John coming out with a bag.
He sees Mariana and comes over to take her from me, hugging her to him. "I'm so sorry, Mari. So sorry." He whispers kissing her head as he hold her to him like she is the most precious thing in the world.
MarianaI looked back at him and just saw John coming out with bags when he looks over at me. I feel this hidden cry inside of my chest when i reached out and held me.
I didn't care that it hurt to every rib probably sore but i held him to me when he kept saying that he was sorry. "It's okay... I knew... I knew it was something." I whispered to him and I see the red haired girl come at us.
"Time to go." She tells them when a shadow appeared before our feet and before i knew it we were at a whole other apartment it looked so neat.
"I have a guest bedroom on the other side Snow, take her there. I'll get a first aid." She says
JohnShe reaches out and clings to me, a small cry escaping her. I apologize over and over softly kissing her head, holding her close to my chest. She whispers it is okay and she knew it was something.
"Still I never wanted something like this to happen to you. It's my fault he grabbed you." I whisper burying my face against her hair. Cora comes over and says it is time to go. Sean grabs my bag and she sends us through a shadow thing.
We reappear in an apartment and she tells me she has a guest bedroom so to take Mari there. I nod and head that way as she goes to get the first aid kit. Sean plops my bag down in there and leaves us be as I sit down on the bed with Mari still holding her close.
CoraI wasn’t going to be in their business right now. It looked like they need a moment. I walked out of their room and just went to the kitchen to try and look for the first aid. I had to just focus on everyone except me. I can’t think of what just happened or else I’ll just freak
I reached out to the cabinet door and my own hand started shaking a little and I just pulled away and grabbed onto the counter. I need to just breathe. I can’t lose it right now.
SeanI come over and find Cora gripping the counter a little. Her hands shaking as she tries to take a deep breath. I quietly come over and wrap my arms around her holding her close to my chest.
"You okay?" I ask softly and kiss head as I rub her arms gently. Jeez she was shaking so hard. I could tell she was trying to be calm but she was just as freaked out as I think we all were.
None of us had expect Crow. He took as all down like it was nothing and that was kind of scary.
CoraI didn’t feel my own body freeze up a little bit when I feel someone holding onto me. My body just knew that it was Sean and I just didn’t freak. But that didn’t stop my body from shaking and I just let him. Hold me.
“I’m not okay. I just. I didn’t think he’d be real you know. I didn’t think that in a blink of an eye he could’ve harmed all of you without a care in the world.” I whispered to him
SeanShe lets me hold her and she whispers that she is not okay. That she didn't think he would be real, didn't think that in a blink of an eye he could’ve harmed all of us without a care in the world. I nod hugging her a little closer to me.
"I know, trust me it is pretty scary to think. None of us expected that." I whisper and sigh. "I'm just glad we all were able to walk away alive."
CoraI nodded my head when he just told me that we were all just lucky to be together and alive. Yeah right now my element feels like it’s been hijacked and it’s just declining. Poor June had to find out through a light element her true life history.
And Mariana went through two hours of torture. It’s just a lot and the way it sounds hes going to try to get poor Mariana until he gets her power.
“We need to just keep a clear mind is all.”
SeanShe nods her head a little and I know deep down how we walked away wasn't much better. We all had experienced a huge blow today. Cora says we just need to keep a clear mind. I nod in agreement and kiss her forehead.
"We are going to figure out a way to stop him." I whisper trying to be positive about this. "We'll find a way."
Juni
Leo took me home and helped me get changed in some pajamas. I had been quiet the whole time just trying to process everything. The hurt was terrible. Like a stabbing pain to my heart.
I currently sat curled up in my bed with Leo holding me, Watson curled up at our feet. My body shaking as my teeth chattered. I was running fever as the after effects of using all four lab elements kicked in. I felt like shit and my body ached all over.
CoraI nodded my head thinking that we couldn’t just give up even if everything looks like we’ve lost most of our confident. We needed to be strong right now. But the thought of that man kissing me and calling me his yang.
I just wanted to throw up right now. I just hold onto the counter when I move the first aid over to him. “Go ahead and just help sterilize her wounds. I’ll go right now to heal her bones.”
SeanI nod and take the first aid kit from her. I tilt her chin up for a second and kiss her softly. "We're going to figure this out." I tell her softly with a little smile. I hated seeing her so afraid like this.
I head towards the guest room to go help clean up Mariana. Snow is holding her close, whispering things into her hair. He looks up at me and nods when I pull out some stuff to clean up her wounds.
"We're going to get you all cleared up and healed." I tell her softly.
LeoI managed to somehow change her into more comfortable clothes like her pijamas. But I was just so worried she still looked so traumatized and hurt for what her so called family did. I stayed by her side a little while longer before I pulled away from her completely.
Seeing that she was starting to shake and run a high fever. “Damn, okay baby I need you to relax as best as you can let me make you a tea.” I tell her going to her kitchen already memorized the ingredients I needed. It’s a recipe I learned when my power got the best of me long time ago.
JuniHe pulls away a little and looks at me before he says damn and tells me to just relax as best as I can while he make me some tea. "O...ok...ay." I manage to get out through my chattering teeth.
He heads over to my kitchen as I lay down curling up. It was so cold but I knew it was just the fever. Watson meows and comes and curls up in my arms. His little rough tongue licking my face as I hold him close.
LeoI was worried sick I mean. She didn’t look good and she did mention that her body takes a toll when she uses those elements. I just hoped that it doesn’t hurt her or anything.
I make the tea and slip in a dash of mint and honey before I go back to her room and see her cuddled up in a ball. I eased her on my lap so she’s sitting up and I give her the tea. “Go ahead drink darling.”
JuniI open my eyes as I feel him ease me into his lap. He helps me sit up and gives me a cup of tea. He tells me to go ahead and drink. I lift it with shaking hands to my lips, sipping it as I lean back against his chest.
"So... warm..." I mumble softly. His body was so warm, it felt so good. I close my eyes as I drink the tea he made me. It was okay, kind of bitter but he had put some honey and mint in it to try and help.
LeoI looked at her and she just whispers to me that I was warm. I was slightly worried about it because I didn’t want my body temperature to affect hers what so ever. So I had to be careful with her as best as I could.
“This is a revitalizer whenever you used too much energy into your elemental bending this helps regain your strength .” I whispered to her and just kissed her temple.
“It’ll reduce your fever for sure.”
I didn’t like that in the specs of episodes that I felt the water elemental. I sensed her pain. Whatever that bastard was doing to her he was hurting her. I couldn’t voice this fact out or else he’ll go berserk and going one on one with this creep is not a good idea.
“Yeah I mean as long as he takes the icyn we should be able to track him down. And hopefully he takes the stuff where Mariana is at.” I tell him trying to be optimist when I feel an elemental power change in the building.
“He’s here.” I say opening up a shadow portal and just urged everyone inside
