Welcome, Emmie! So glad your joining in on the Challenge! I can give you some suggestions of family books I loved if you are interested in giving one a try. Here are a few of my favorites:
I think family is an intricate part in each of these stories, but it's not only about family. You could even do
, sisters and the father are apart of the story. It can be as simple as a parent or sibling is also a character in the story and that covers a lot of books.

The Hunger games do star a little slow, but they get SO good!!! Stick with it!!!

Trust me Hunger Games gets better, it depends what kind of books you really like. If you don't like sci-fi type books I can see where it might be hard for you.
