Luna Claire (lunasaintclaire) | 5 comments https://www.amazon.com/Sleeping-Serpe...

I would be honored to have you participate in my Book Review Tour for The Sleeping Serpent. I am pasting the google invitation below for your convenience. I hope you will participate. Thank you very much! http://bit.ly/29oGBX9

To help you decide, I have pasted here the Amazon Book Page for The Sleeping Serpent.
Genre: Psychological Erotic Domestic Suspense—Character driven with lush prose. It isn’t a love story, or a dark romance as much as it is the story of a late, beautiful and painful awakening
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B016LUUB1K
Thank you for your consideration. If you sign up, please PM me so I can send you the book.

Whether by free will or fate, Luna's encounter with Nico provokes a storm that shatters her perceptions of identity, duty, morality, and self-worth. The storm didn't blow in from the outside. She was the storm. Its turbulence, forcing her to confront the darkness, uncovers her secrets and her pain.

Luna Saint Claire has a loving husband and an enviable career as a Hollywood costume designer. Still, something is gnawing at her. Bored with her conventional and circumscribed existence, she feels herself becoming invisible. When she meets Nico Romero, a charismatic yoga guru, his attentions awaken her passions and desires. Dangerous, but not in a way that scares her, he makes her feel as if anything is possible. Infatuated, she becomes entangled in Nico's life as he uses his mesmerizing sexuality to manipulate everyone around him in his pursuit of women, wealth, and celebrity.

Immensely erotic and psychologically captivating, The Sleeping Serpent is the compelling story of a woman's obsession with a spellbinding guru and the struggle to reclaim her life. At its heart, it is a painfully beautiful exposition of unconditional love that makes us question what we truly want.

Brenda Mohammed (brenchris) | 9 comments Thank you, Patricia, Zeeka Chronicles by Brenda Mohammed for this opportunity. Here is the book I want reviewed.
https://www.amazon.com/Zeeka-Chronicl...
Zeeka Chronicles: Revenge of Zeeka was an award winner in the category Best Science Fiction in SIBA Awards [2017], received a Readers Favorite Five-star review and five-star seal [2017] and is an Author Academy Award Nominee for Global Award (2018).
The book with its drama, tension, twists, and turns will baffle you and give you goosebumps.
Can one man misuse science for revenge?
A reviewer said, "Fans of Twilight Zone and Outer Limits TV series episodes should find these shorts right up their alley."
Set in 2036, the world of Zeeka Chronicles is modern and futuristic.
No one is aware that something evil is afoot.
The villainous Zeeka is planning revenge and is breeding zombies to wipe out the Islanders on Gosh.
Why does he want revenge?
Is Zeeka a man or a beast?
New technology and scientific breakthroughs in the field of medical science set the stage for the unimaginable in this tale of a hateful man, kidnapping, love, lies, revenge, female robots, a ghost, a deadly virus, sixty programmable zombies, corruption in the police force, and a hero you will love.
Dr. Steven Sharpe knows Zeeka's secrets.
Can he expose Zeeka without risking his life and that of his beloved family?
Will Detectives Jack Wildy and Jerry Cole discover the truth?
Can secrets remain buried?
What part does Janet, Raynor, Mandy, Miranda, and Zombie Number Nine play?
Read an extract of a five-star review from Readers Favorite.
'Brenda Mohammed's writing style is evocative of the future and she handles the science in her fiction brilliantly: reading is believing!
I loved Zeeka Chronicles; it has worldwide appeal for anyone looking for an entertaining story that is different.'

Mike Wehner | 2 comments Hello,

I am an author seeking reviews for my psychological thriller The Girl Who Can Cook - It's the story of a man who abandons his life to work as a line cook in a restaurant run by the woman who killed his best friend during a domestic dispute. Its dark and comic, it is ideal for someone who also enjoys black comedy and/or romantic suspense. There's some language and violence but not gratuitous, no overt sexuality. Themes of grief, loss, comfort/immigrant food, impractical love, the way we each carry the past differently.

The book will be free to read via Kindle Unlimited until 8/4 but if you would like to request a review copy where you can receive the full eBook copy as a gift via Amazon then please send me a direct message and we can arrange for that as well.

I am seeking candid reviews but if you request a copy its implied that you enjoy psychological thrillers. See the Amazon link to read some of the reviews and the blurb to make sure this is a good fit -- I want you to enjoy it!

Thanks!

Mike

L.C. Perry | 4 comments Gold Shadow (Bronze Rebellion #1) by L.C. Perry

Hello!

I'm offering up Gold Shadow for review :) The book is free on KU and I have it available in PDF, Mobi and ePUB.

Here's some more information about it:

Genre: YA, Dystopian, (Romance starting in the second book)

Blurb:
In the North American continent, eighteen year old Ebony has been living as a slave for as long as she can remember. The underground cities, the tattoo, the scars and the shackles are a part of the only world she has ever known. She knows that in order to survive, she will have to stay strong. And she will stay strong, cursing those in power, until her very last breath. She waits for a meaningful way to die as she quietly pushes her body to its limit…but that all changes when rebels from the surface drop down right in front of her.

Now, Ebony is challenged to envision a life beyond slavery as she and the other escapees are thrown into the center of a rebellion against the monarchy. She has to embrace this glimmer towards a real life…this glimmer called freedom. But what can she contribute to a rebellion that is doomed to fail like those before it? How can they stop a corrupt monarchy that has lasted for a century? Among the lower class, those with hope are hard to come by, but Ebony has found refuge with people full of it. And through their strong desire, an idea emerges…one that has never been done before. The princess of the country is coming of age and what better way to send a message to the king and queen than to kidnap their only daughter?

Other info - Contains a diverse cast of characters but also contains profanity, violence, and talk of sensitive issues.

Thank you!

- L.C. Perry

David Kummer | 10 comments Until We Burn

description

Horror, Psychological Thriller, Suspense... (No Gore)

Cyrus Street never forgot about his home. It was always in the back of his mind, with the memories, the nightmares. Alluring, always pulling him back. There were so many questions unanswered. Something he left behind.

When he finally returns, he's drawn back into a world even worse than he remembers. Werifesteria, with its dark secrets and murky past, never changed. It remains a cesspool, a danger. There's something about the town unnerving, yet enticing. It isn't normal. It isn't sane.

As soon as Cyrus steps back into it, the murders begin. He's the only one can catch this madman, if he can only control his mind.

Everybody remembers the fire. Everybody remembers him. But there's a darkness he's buried inside his own head. And unless he can remember, the entire town will burn.

Lydia G'day all. I would absolutely love and appreciate it if my sister and my debut fantasy, romance novel The Dawsons The Dawsons by Lydia Casablanca can be reviewed by you lovely people please.

Witnessing the horrific demise of everyone he knew and loved has made Derrick Dawson strong, but it has also made him cold and broken. Tormented by his past and fears for the future, Derrick drowns himself in alcohol and drugs to dull the pain he can’t seem to escape. When Rose, the granddaughter of his sworn enemy, suddenly appears in his life, his world turns upside down. The wall he has built to protect his heart is crumbling. Will Derrick ignore what he feels or will he let the wall fall?

Francesco has felt alone and miserable all his life. The loss of his family and the harshness he receives from his constantly intoxicated older brother has left a void inside him that he thought he would never fill. Until a young princess named Rosa stumbles into him and changes his life forever. There’s only one thing that stands in his way—King Antonio has forbidden Rosa to have anything to do with a Dawson.

I hope you like the sounds of my blurb. Have a fabulous day!

Hi, M.L. Looks like an interesting book. On the synopsis on your website, and on Amazon.com, and here on Goodreads ( https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/3... ),

https://www.amazon.com/Beyond-Short-C...

Here's the blurb: The future, ghosts, aliens, surprising twists, murder, love and beyond...

A nightly visitor isn't all that she seems. A woman's life draws strange parallels with a space probe. A man wakes up in a black void, with no recollection of how he got there. These are just a few of the stories in Beyond. Some explore life beyond death. Others were inspired by questions of existence beyond earth. Some just centre on human emotions and experiences which are 'beyond' normal.

Snow (The Black Ice Trilogy, #1) by Mikayla Elliot
Snow
Synopsis:
Taken from all she has ever known and loved, Neva finds herself swept into a world of vampires where she learns she will determine their future. Yet she quickly discovers she is the target of a vampire, Zachariah, seeking to stop her from altering the vampire lineage. She must decide which path she will take while trying to protect the family she left behind, and discovering a past she cannot escape.

Blizzard (The Black Ice Trilogy, #2) by Mikayla Elliot
Blizzard
Synopsis:
Desperate to find her niece Neva is willing to do anything to get her back, but the path she follows unveils a dark past with volatile truths, and a present intertwined with unforgiving consequences. In a race against time and dire odds, Neva embarks on a journey that will forever change the lives of those she knows and loves, as well as her own.

Both books can be found on Amazon here:

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B078ZV98W1

Synopsis:

Shelley De Luca has a problem. A large, man-sized one in the form of the older brother of her dead high school sweetheart. She owes him a marker and he intends to collect. In the biblical way. Sure, he’s dangerous, a jerk and a player but he’s also gorgeous, sexy and secretly the man of her dreams. Except for the small matter of her heart, paying him back should be easy.

Gianni Cadora is Mafia trying to go legit. When Shelley stumbles back into his life, she comes with bruises, a psycho ex and a spicy attitude he can’t resist. He’s an alpha bad-ass used to getting his way, so why is it so difficult to convince her he’s what she needs?

Perhaps it’s their history or his reputation, but he isn’t above using his marker or a funny, flatulent dog to get what he wants.

Blurb-
Angelica was willing to do almost anything for Merrick, until they were caught. Her punishment for breaking Lymerian law is unthinkable, but at least she will live. In fact, she might live forever. This YA Sci-fi novel is the first in a series by debut author Bianca Sierra-Luebke.

The Lymerians have been living in secret on Earth for centuries. Angelica is their newest replacement, taken to ensure the survival of this long-lived race and to discourage falling in love with a human. Yet Angelica is not like the previous replacements. Even her Architect is unusual. Clara, commander of the Slayers and deadliest of the Lymerians, is chosen. When she steps forward, their fates are sealed. The Laws of Liturgy are binding. As Clara and two Guards descend into the dungeons with Angelica, the entire race wonders what kind of Lymerian will return when the transition is complete.

Full of deception, heartache, and despair, this dark novel is for readers that love a great twist. Bit by bit the story unfolds, changing everything you thought you knew the page before.

I can email preferred format. Thanks again!

First timer here in desperate need of some Amazon reviews. Have had some great feedback on blogs, and a single Zon review on .co.uk. It's a novella, fun, uplifting adventure tale, great length for a plane ride or similar. ARCs on BookFunnel - please p.m. me for a link.

GR: Ranker's Charge: Deliverance at Van Demon’s Deep
Amazon: http://amzn.to/2N48XoV

Sergeant Vila Kiprik has survived many brutal missions during his thirty-year army career, but this last posting to Demon's Deep is his deadliest yet. Top Brass need the mine working again for its rare quartz deposits, but the miners have gone AWOL, replaced by crazed savages.

Kiprik and his squad have been charged with taking back control, but this is no ordinary drive. Sinister forces more deadly than madmen hunt them in the shadows and that retirement up in the Duchy mountains soon begins to look like a pipe dream.

As reality itself breaks down, and magical charms fail against wild, untameable powers, Kiprik is thrown into a fight for survival, sanity and redemption. But do thirty years killing in the name of the flag put him beyond saving?

One thing is certain, a reckoning approaches, and it's probably around the next bend.

Thank you Michelle! I really appreciate you reviewing the books.

I've heard Amazon has been a problem for a lot of people. I don't know why they are deleting reviews. I haven't had a problem yet but I think it's because I have kindle unlimited. I read somewhere they have a rule you have to spend $20. a month to post reviews but I'm not sure that's true.

I'll see what I can find out about it.

I wish it was because I don't spend enough money on Amazon but that is not the case. This is the message I receive when I try to do any review:
"Your previous review of this product did not comply with our Customer Reviews Guidelines. Amazon does not permit reviews from customers whose relationship to the product or seller may be perceived as biased."
It is still showing it this morning. I will be contacting them again.

Patricia | 971 comments Mod
I'm dreading the day I get a message like that. I'm going to do some searching on the internet and see what I can find. I can be a real pain in the butt if I can find email addresses.

How would they even know if someone had a "relationship" with a product or in this case author? Do you know how many reviews I've seen that come right out and say they are family members of or friends with the author? Probably 100's and I skip over them because I know they will be biased.

I'm going to think about solutions to this and try to find info on the net.

Amazon is the only site that will not let you review an ARC until the book is released too. That certainly doesn't help advanced sales.

message 44: by Patricia (new)

Patricia | 971 comments Mod
Here's an interesting article on why amazon deletes reviews:

https://tracycooperposey.com/amazon-r...

I would argue if you read an author's work, follow their releases or series and consistently purchase their books you have a "relationship" with that author. What is more personal than reading someones written words?

message 45: by Karen ⚜Mess⚜ (new)

Karen ⚜Mess⚜ Don't have the same birthday month as an author --- check.
Don't like the same colors as an author -- check.
I mean really! Amazon might as well say these things.

I absolutely hate reviewing in Amazon. If I do a review I'll do it on GR. Unfortunately, most ARC sites want you to leave a review in Amazon.

I for one am not letting Amazon dictate to me how to spend my social time and with whom.

It's really making me angry. Just because you have an author as a "friend" on a site doesn't mean you are FRIENDS. Next it will be mailing lists. I'm on a million of those. Also, if a real friend wrote a horrible book I would either not review it or give it an honest bad review.
