In case any of you are wondering why I bother posting a book review in English to Amazon Germany, the answer lies in Amazon's crazy logic. By posting my review to amazon.de, it is ensured that people with accounts in the US and UK will see my review in English when clicking the Amazon button on their Goodreads account. Got it? If anybody finds this doesn't work for him/her, pls advise and I'll do a retake with the "nerdy algorithms" in Amazon's solar system.

Hi David and JP,

I am only able to post reviews to the US and UK sites because I have spent enough at each site in the past 12.months. For US you need to spend $50, for the UK I haven't checked the qualifying spend but I have spent far too much in the past year ;-)

I guessed as much. It's just another Amz gimmick to make a few billion more net profits at the cost of its users.
In my case, if I order something in the US or UK, I have to pay for it in Germany.

Interestingly enough I thought I had spent enough on both the UK and US sites, but apparently not, now though whenever I buy something regardless of the site I am on I am immediately sent to the Canadian site because of course I'm Canadian. They will not let me purchase on the other sites any longer...frustrating as I would like to be able to post reviews there also...

I have tried to post to Amazon US and UK but it will not accept any reviews for any products from me. Apparently "My previous review of this product did not comply with the customer review guidelines" as I have a "relationship with the product or seller that may be perceived as biased."

This is happening for all products I try to review, not just books.

I will continue to try to post the reviews and I will contact Amazon to find out what is going on.
