I really enjoyed No Exit by Taylor Adams so I am eager to hear your thoughts on it. Also, have you read the other books by [author: Jane Harper}?

What do you currently have checked out from the library?

I have:
Daisy Jones & the Six by Taylor Jenkins Reid and Believe Me by JP Delaney.

Debra Diggs | 2445 comments lol. I am on 2 different wait lists for Daisy Jones & The Six. Looking forward to reading it.

I have:
- Birds, Beasts and Relatives by Gerald Durrell Second book in a series. The first book (My Family and Other Animals) was filled with chuckles and laugh out loud moments. That is rare for me to find in a book.
- A Train in Winter: An Extraordinary Story of Women, Friendship, and Resistance in Occupied France by Caroline Moorehead
- Station Eleven by Emily St. John Mandel

Cathy | 112 comments I'm still reading No Exit by Taylor Adams. What can I say? This book is amazingly good but it is keeping my nerves frazzled. I'm almost avoiding reading it because it makes me feel so stressed...lol. I'm really invested in these characters.....they have to make it! I hope to have it finished shortly though and after this one, I want something nice and calm.

Cathy | 112 comments This is my first Jane Harper book. So far, I'm really liking it and might try something else by her. I can actually read (listen...it's an audio book) it without chewing my nails to bits!

One of my other Goodreads groups is reading this book next month. I am still deciding whether to join or not.

Debra Diggs | 2445 comments Hey Krystyna, would you consider Little Fires Everywhere to be a young adult book? I am thinking about reading it, but one of the comments said it was too young adult.

Debra wrote: "Hey Krystyna, would you consider Little Fires Everywhere to be a young adult book? I am thinking about reading it, but one of the comments said it was too young adult."

No, I don't consider it to be young adult. It's an adult contemporary fiction book. It's about these two families that live in a suburb and they have teenage children. The writing is beautiful and it is such a great story. I highly recommend this book to anyone.

I have:
Before She Knew Him by Peter Swanson and Roomies by Christina Lauren.

Cathy | 112 comments I currently have The Night Visitors by Carol Goodman I am also listening to the audio book of Little Fires Everywhere by Celeste Ng. I read a couple of stories from A Lucky Man by Jamel Brinkley but ended up moving on. The stories I read were very well-written but just not what I wanted to read at the moment. I might check it out again at some point.

Robin Combs | 20 comments I just checked out "In a Badger Way" by Shelley Laurenston. I'm so excited! I can't wait to get home and start reading it.

Cathy | 112 comments I basically have the same things out as last week....The Night Visitors by Carol Goodman, Daisy Jones & The Six by Taylor Jenkins Reid on Libby, and Little Fires Everywhere by Celeste Ng on audio. I'm about half way through The Night Visitors. It's been pretty "meh" to me but seems to be picking up somewhat....maybe I can get it finished this week. I've started thinking on what I want to read next.

I'm loving Daisy Jones & The Six! I'm about half way through the audio version....I'm totally invested in the band...like they are a real band! That's some great writing that can make you feel that way. I'm also liking Little Fires....the title has multiple meanings....both literal and figural.

Cathy | 112 comments I added another book to my library loot.....and this is a good example of the top reasons that make me choose a book. I was doing inventory and this acid green cover with a smiling skull and crossbones caught my eye. I opened the cover and read a blurb by one my favorite authors, Jenny Lawson. The size of the book is fairly thin so......I checked it out! It's The Miniature Wife and Other Stories by Manuel Gonzales. Even the title is catchy! Anyway, I hope it's a good one.

That's a pretty eye-catching cover to say the least haha. I am not a big fan of short stories but let me know what you think about it. I need to try reading more short story collections.

Cathy | 112 comments I finally finished Daisy Jones & The Six by Taylor Jenkins Reid on overdrive....so good! I just added All the Light We Cannot See by Anthony Doerr to my shelf. I also added Calypso by David Sedaris. I'm going to be seeing him in November at the Lexington Opera House and am already excited about it! I didn't get to spend much time with The Miniature Wife and Other Stories by Manuel Gonzales this weekend so I'm still reading it.

Cathy | 112 comments I added another book to my library loot....I saw Outside Looking In by T. Coraghessan Boyle on the new releases shelf and had to get it. I've read several of his books and either liked or in a few cases, loved them. The Tortilla Curtain by him was a real stand-out.

I will try the first since you recommend it. But, I can't promise that I will continue. I'm not huge on sci-fi. I'm more of a fantasy reader.
