I'm in! I joined NG last month officially and reviewed 3 books, but committed to more for June. So this should help my accountability. Start of Month
A. # of Books on Shelf: 5
B. Books on Shelf
C. Ratio: 38% (I was at 100% before I requested books for June, but I only have 8 books total, so each book carries more weight being new.)

Overall, a decent month, but I also added a few too. So far, I've enjoyed every (all 6 of them, lol) Netgalley book I've read!
Don’t worry about your ratio, Abbey. It’ll go up quickly as you review books. It’s a bit of a shock when you’re new and it takes such a big hit after each new request is granted.

What do you like to usually do when you get a backlog of books? Do you read from the one on the shelf the longest? Start with the newest on the shelf? Or read what interests you at the moment?
Vicki Willis wrote: "What do you like to usually do when you get a backlog of books? Do you read from the one on the shelf the longest? Start with the newest on the shelf? When I read those ones, I just choose what interests me the most or what I can get on audio from the library/scribd.
My ultimate goal is to have no already published books still on my shelf by the end of the year and I've slowly been chipping away at the backlog until last month when life got in the way and I fell a bit further behind.

I read in publication order. So I try and read them in the month of publication, or (like now) when Im quite behind, as close as possible. I think I'm currently reading what was released in April 2018

Thanks for the confidence boost on the ratio! Just reviewing 2 books already moved it back up to 63%, so I can't wait until I have more books in my total.
Also, I LOVED The Summer Children! It was the first book I reviewed on NetGalley. What did you think of the first two books? To be honest, I read it not knowing it was the third in a trilogy, but fell in love with the characters and have since bought the first two :)
Yes, my ratio is at a point where I can add or review a book or two and it doesn't change at all. If I want any movement I need to really make an effort. lolI think this was my favorite because you really start to get to know the team. I love their relationships and their banter. The first book was mostly from the view of the butterflies and it was really good, but a different style. The second book is where you start to get to know the team, as well as meet Priya. I really enjoyed all three. I can't wait for the next one! Let me know what you think of the first two when you get them. I'd love to see your thoughts on them.
I need to stay off NetGalley. I just added
and
. I also requested two others, but they're really popular titles, so we'll see how it goes. Fortunately, my ratio didn't change at all. Unfortunately, that means I have a lot of reading to do to increase my ratio as well. lol
Both of those look good... Ok, I added Lies.
I AM reading one from Netgalley right now though, so read one, add one... :)
I’m reading one from NetGalley now too, Vicki. So, hopefully I’ll at least break even again this month. :)
lol
I can't add any more because I'm totally ignoring Netgalley books at the moment in favour of all these BRs I've signed up to in Tower Teams! :o

Finished another! That means I've reviewed two and added two. Another break even month! I probably won't have time to finish another this month, which is ok. I started with an 88% ratio and ended with 89%. :)

Do you ever get so caught up in your reading that you don't want to stop to write your reviews?
Thinking about that, it was decided we need a "Review Weekend", once each month, set aside to write those reviews you've been not doing in favor of reading!
Review Weekends will vary randomly each month and is meant to be a time set aside to review. Take one, or both days and get caught up on reviews so you can spend the rest of the month reading!!
The next Review Weekend is set for June 16/17
**When linking your reviews, please link only to the book(s) here at GoodReads. At this time, linking to a personal blog is not allowed. Thank you!
