Veronica’s Time Travel Song(To the tune of Everything is Awesome
https://youtu.be/StTqXEQ2l-Y)
Everything is awful
Everyone is dying from some damn disease
Everything is awful
When visiting history
Everyone is sickly from scarlet fever
Side by side in a grave we died at eleven
Let’s lie here forever
Such a shame, you died first, I died too
Don’t forget we were raped a whole lot
Everything is awful
Horrible things are going on in the world
Everything is awful
Don’t give time travel a whirl
It's interesting to learn he completely rewrote Sins of Empire.
I liked his first trilogy, but that book is by far the best he's written so far (pending my completion of Wrath of Empire).

That could be Leonard Cohen if sung slowed down with his deep bass voice.
On Veronica's wish to journey back and hang out with the dinosaurs:Oxygen concentration during the Cretaceous (when the famous big Dinos lived) was a little lower than today but more than sufficient; so, no problems breathing as long as you stay away from the volcanic areas. The CO2 level, however, was about triple present day levels, so dress for warm weather.

Did anyone else read the Micro-Adventure series? You'd have to type in computer programs in BASIC to solve puzzles in the book. I still have the entire series in a box somewhere in my basement.
Hours of fun as a kid.
When the question about books that made you cry was asked, what jumped to my mind immediately was one of Brian Jacques' Redwall books, Martin the Warrior! Funny that it was one of his answers as well.
Nice interview, I wish I had seen the question thread on time but boy I am happy he rewrote Sins of Empire since the the result is really wonderful. The new book is even better. Sad to hear that the next one would be his last Powder Mage novel. I think the world has a really cool magic system.
