Hi Taylor! I finished “Invisible Monsters” by Chuck Palahniuk. I actually spent all day reading it!While it wasn’t for me I could see why it has such a high rating and why people like it. It was indeed sick and twisted and interesting. The characters were interesting and a lot of sick and twisted stuff went on. I liked the way of storytelling too. I’m always a fan of jumbled, puzzle-piece plotting. I think Chuck can pull it off well.
Chuck Palahniuk unfortunately probably isn’t an author for me. I DNF’d the “Fight Club” audiobook because of boredom and his writing in “Invisible Monsters” was a little too edgy for me. I don’t know if he just tries too hard or that gritty, informal storytelling just isn’t my bag. While I didn’t like it that much can see why many do! It did keep my attention all day!
I finished Red Queen last week and truly enjoyed the World of Silvers and Reds. I am so much pulled into the world now that I immediately picked up Glass Sword which is the next book in Series and am already 30% into it.

Happy Reading all!!!
 Dear Amber,
Dear Amber, I am glad to hear that you enjoyed the book. I agree with you about the ending. I like to think that her life is getting better and she is finding happiness. I just finished The Hen Who Dreamed She Could Fly and I loved it! Sprout was a very brave chicken with big dreams and I was cheering her on for the entire story. This is the second book I read by an Asian author that has been translated and I find their writing to be so smooth and poetic that you get pulled into the story. I so wanted Sprout to find happiness and I really hope in someway she did. I loved it and I can see how it has become a international best seller. I enjoyed being your partner for the June copy cat and I hope you have a wonderful summer!
Best,
Kristina
