I personally love Edelweiss but think it is harder to get books on there than it is to get them off of Netgalley.

I only use Netgalley. Tried Edelweiss, but it was a bit to complicated, and from what I could see it was mostly US only. So yeah, didn't continue with that one. Netgalley at least has some fun books for us Europeans.
Yeah, it was overly complicated. With Netgalley I can just say request and the request is pending. And then I will just get a mail if I am accepted/declined.

I am excited to start it. I loved Guitar Notes so I hope I enjoy this one as well."I have this one too. :)"
Would you like to buddy read it?
Anyway, I think Edelweiss is easier for me. So far most of my ARC's are from there. Just got declined
which is a bummer. I'll see if I can request from Edelweiss instead :)
I don't really get books for reviews.I have a blog, but it's kind of pathetic, so my requests are never accepted (though I've stopped asking).
But I went to a book convention in May and I got a few ARCS:
I've read a few of these already, but these are the ones I got!(pssst! If you live anywhere near Dallas, you need to go to this convention! It'll be in Dallas next year!)
And I got
from First to Read which is a really cool site from Penguin. They offer up a bunch of books every month that are not yet released (They don't have any YA books this month! BOO!)But it's a really cool site!

thanks Jay :) It's not available for request from Edelweiss yet. I think I'll just have to wait till September :)
Oh I just finished
I really enjoyed it. It was my first re-telling I've ever read. I also got Branded. Hope it's good. @Gisbelle how did you get on the auto-approved list for EgemontUSA? What's your approval rating? Mine is so low, but I review for them all the time.
@Jessica (Goldenfurpro) I also do Penguins First Reads, I just got
from there today actually. And I read
which is by the same woman who wrote Fiendish and I really liked it, so I'm jealous that you have Fiendish.
Amanda ~ I requested a book from Egmont and after I finished and sent my review, the next day they added me to the auto-approved list. I think it was totally random. My rating at the moment is 80% because I have 8 ARC's I haven't reviewed yet. Usually it's around 90. I only just started using NetGalley earlier this year.

For me it's always random. Sometimes a couple of days, sometimes a couple of weeks. I have some books from a couple of months ago that have never been denied or accepted. I have sent requests a second time after a week or so of not hearing and then sometimes within a few days they'll come back and give me an answer.

Jacquelyn, I went ahead and made the thread for Get Happy. Here it is: https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/...
Oh my gosh! I am so sorry! I had it in my head to definitely do it today and it slipped out. Thank you!! <3

I got
from First To Read (Not sure if it counts as an ARC though) but I got about two chapters in and then my tablet died and wouldn't charge, so...I'm probably going to make an account on NetGalley and Edelweiss soon.
I just made an account on Edelweiss! I don't think I'll request anything yet. I'm kind of too nervous to...

I loved that bok!
ReadWriteLove28 wrote: "I just got my first rejection from Edelweiss and netgalley :("You'll get used to the feeling. I have been rejected so many times from the publishers at NetGalley.
Yeah, I'm sure that I'll be rejected more than approved. But hopefully I'll be approved for one of the books!
When I first started, I downloaded, read and reviewed a few books from read-now just to get a better approval ratio. Maybe it helps you too.
I just requested a few books on Netgalley (still too scared to request any on Edelweiss). Though I highly doubt I'll get approved for any of them, I figured that it doesn't hurt to try! Worst comes to worst, I'll get declined, but I'll be okay.

So far I have been denied on 2, but if I keep trying, hopefully I'll get approved for one!

(4*) it was pretty good.I'll start
which I just got the other day from NetGalley."Lucky duck!
A Thousand Pieces of You sounds absolutely amazing!
I'm so glad you liked it! XD
It depends on publishers. Like Penguin and Disney for example are a little strict when it comes to selecting reviews for their ARC's. So far I never get any from them.Mostly I get ARC's from Harper, Simon & Schuster, Egmont... It'll get easier once you have reviewed a few of their books.
