Also, thanks for the links, Daniela!
Wow, I didn't realise the classes were going to be a whole other thing separate from the spells! I'm going to have to take a closer look at some of those challenges!

Book: Tempests and Slaughter
Author: Tamora Pierce
Pages: 465
Date Read: 5/13
Rating: 4 stars
Characters: Arram Draper, Ozorne, Varice,
Not sure if this works for magical creatures, but the feather on the cover is from a Sunbird.

Sure! It looks like spells are going to be the easy part of the challenge! ;)
We've been given a list of words and as a group we need to work together to read books with titles, authors (first or last name), series names (as written on Goodreads), or characters (first, last or commonly used nicknames) that fit the letters. I'll show you an example with ACCIO.
A - Arcturus (character from The Bone Season)
C - Cole, Kresley (author of Endless Knight)
C - Court of Frost and Starlight, A (title - A/An/The can be used or ignored)
I - Illuminae Files (series name for Gemina)
O - Orson Scott Card (author of Ender's Game)
Does that help clear things up a little?

Sure! It looks like spells are going to be the easy part of the challenge! ;)
We've been..."
Yes that helps. Is the list of names on link you put in the theard earlier?

Let me know if you need characters. I figured we would use it for the “U”.

Shelf Names Please!
If your name is on the following list I still need you to confirm the name of the shelf you are using for this challenge:
Daniela
Rachel
Wolf

I am also going to try to read the BOM Lilac Girls, although I will be traveling, but I do believe we get points for discussion (even if we don't make questions!
The classes are the best! I love finding books that fit specific challenges. The book I am reading right now has 800 pages with a gryphon on the cover (which should work for the magical creatures, if needed).
I can't wait to get all these books I have in line read!
Also, Jen - I just noticed you said you read the Elemental Assassin books. I love them! How far along are you? I just finished up Black Widow (before this challenge started).

I've only read the first five. After I finished book five, when Gin (view spoiler) , it just felt like such a series ender of a book that I still haven't been able to bring myself to continue that series. I know new Big Bads are introduced, but it's still a struggle. :-/

Yes, we do get points just for discussion! We also get a month from the time the buddy read starts to get discussion points for it - since Lilac Girls starts on the 16th, you have until June 16th to pop into the discussion - so there is a little wiggle room! :D

No worries! Thanks :D

We're not going to use that thread, it's easy enough for me to keep things all in one place. :)

Ugh, I wish I had something fun happening! I just got home from my hoarding clients, I have a pack/unpack on Tuesday/Wednesday, and then I'm back with my hoarders Thursday and Friday. Plus three closing shifts at my store. I feel like I need 10 showers everyday when I get home. ;_;
I do have Saturday off though, so... looking foward to that. XD

No worries, Jen! We all know Goodreads has been weird with read dates recently. :)

While I don’t have a firm date for the fix, this bug is prioritized in our development team’s backlog - we know how important it is to save your book activity appropriately and hope to fix this soon.
I’ve added your report to the developer ticket and I’ll let you know once it’s been resolved. If there’s anything else I can help you with, in the meantime, please feel free to reach out!
