If Laura doesn't mind, I can read the book "Ghost in the Wires" That seems really interesting!Also, I have been trying for ages to read "Graceling" and I think there is a blind character in that. It is on the list for books with blind characters. However, it looks like the character doesn't start off as being blind, but becomes blind in the book. Would that work?

We've got Magic Bites down for the Sword on cover, but I just realized that they fight a zombie Dragon at the end. So that's an option for Goblet of Fire - Retrieve Golden egg. Magic Burns also has a sword on cover to replace Magic Bites.

Vicky the current series I am reading have shapeshifters in all the books. There are seven books in the series along with a couple of novellas. I realized that the book I said I would read for shapeshifters would probably work better for the above task since shapeshifter books are easy to find. I am planning on listening to the entire series and will have another book completed for shifter tomorrow.

Since we got our first 3 Tasks in Chamber of Secrets pretty much planned out, I took a look at what else we've read and where to head next. We've already got a few book finished in Prisoner of Azkaban and it looks like some of them will be pretty easy for us to find!

Vicky, I wanted to run this book by you. I'm not sure whether or not to count it.Book: Chaos in Death
The only way I could get a copy from the library was in The Unquiet, where it takes 95 pages (with small print).
The Kindle/ebook versions of Chaos show 160 pages, but I can't find a Kindle copy on Amazon to verify. I do see an Audible version that is 3 hours and 39 minutes. I remember from Uno that Karen says 3 hours is roughly 100 pages. So does that mean we can count this book? If so, let me know and I'll put it on my shelf and check tasks.

I am bit a confused. I thought we needed to read 9 books (3 tasks from 3 different books) before we can get any points. Am I understanding this wrong? Do we need to complete all the tasks with each task?

@Ora - The terminology is confusing because we're using task twice.Let's call each subheading ("Defeat Dementors") a Tournament Task and call each book task (Read A MPG Paranormal book) a Book Task.
We need to pick three of the HP Books and complete three of it's Tournament Tasks by reading all four of it's Book Tasks. This gives us a total of 36 (3 HP Books x 3 Tournament Tasks x 4 Book Tasks) books to read before we can start reading for the rest.

As a heads up, I am currently waiting for a mod to answer a clarifying question about banked books.It is possible that we can not use any books read before we finish our first 36 to fill in other tasks. In other words if we don't have the 36 books read until the 12th, all books we "bank" from the 1st-12th will need to be used for Characters.
Keep that in mind when you're reading - I don't want you to read something for an obscure task that we end up not being able to use and have to find another book for. I'll keep everyone posted.
The book that I read "Rise and fall of DODO" has a lot of time travel in it. They also celebrate Halloween, but that looks to be covered.

@Lory - I'm not sure Laura's started that one so we may use yours just to get them completed. I'm sure she'll pop in and let us know. We might be about to use her planned book for another task. 😁
Update to my last FYI - We can use banked books for tasks even if we finish them before we finish our first 36 books. So we don't need to worry about that.

So pleasure, leisure, stuff like that would work.
