I finished The Splendid and the Vile and now I am reading Thirteen Days by Robert Kennedy. It is a memoir about the Cuban Missile Crisis in 1962.
Judy wrote: "Therese Anne Fowler wrote The Good Neighborhood"curious to hear your thoughts on this one!

Crawdads is SO amazing I hope you love it!
Heather wrote: "I finished The Splendid and the Vile and now I am reading Thirteen Days by Robert Kennedy. It is a memoir about the Cuban Missile Crisis in 1962."I loved The Splendid and the Vile! also, if you want to hear Eric Larson speak on that book, go to:
https://bookpassage.extendedsession.com and look in the archived interviews. Larson was so interesting. You may have to sign up to receive invitations to other authors but I believe you can just go into the archived ones to hear them speak.
Just re-read the Best and the Brightest by David Halberstam. It covers the Kennedy and Johnson administrations and the men who were considered the best of their time like Robert McNamara. An incredibly compelling read that takes the reader through the events and lies that for us into Vietnam.
Currently reading Unravelling Oliver by Liz Nugent. It's my 1st book from Liz and liking it so far, will be reading her other books for sure.
Just finished The Guest List by Lucy Foley. Good book - fast read- kept me interested. Only thing I did not like - the ending had too many things wrapped up.

Just finished The Guest List. I liked it, but thought the ending was a little too contrived.
Olivia , you wanted to know my thoughts on The Good Neighborhood (I wasn’t sure how to post under your comment. I totally believe that happens in our world today. It was an incident that was taken from a time in someone’s life. Could of been mine because I was a single mom who raised a biracial son He also identified as African American and I was his white mom. I took racism from blacks and whites , but mostly whites. This was in the 1980’s in East Texas. My son suffered racism in school but he is now 38 years old and has become an incredible black man and I couldn’t be prouder !
Just finished Eleanor Oliphant is Completely Fine by Gail Honeyman (which I loved) and right after started reading What Alice Forgot by Liane Moriarty.
I finished The Bookish Life of Nina Hill yesterday. It didn’t pull me in as much as I hoped. Think I am going to read The Testaments by Margaret Atwood or Such a Fun Age. Hoping I will like them.
Just finished The Guest List & Never Look Back by Mary Burton this week. Next up is The Tattooist of Auchwitz and Breaking the Silence by Diane Chamberlain.
I'm just starting Alice Hoffman's The World that We Knew and it's not what I was thinking it was but I'll stick with it for a while.
I am reading An Absolutely Remarkable Thing by Hank Green. Today, the sequel to the book came out and I’m excited to receive my copy.
Reading Right Behind You by Lisa Gardner - good story and details about psychological minds of people.
Just finished Vanishing half, and now reading The Tuscan Child and then going to start Bringing Down Duke!
The Home for Unwanted Girls by Joanna GoodmanJust finished The World We Never Knew by Alice Hoffman. Don't miss this one!
Reading The Island of Sea Women, by Lisa See. Interesting story. I usually like Lisa See’s books. Lots of history and understanding of women’s lives.
Kristine wrote: "Reading The Island of Sea Women, by Lisa See. Interesting story. I usually like Lisa See’s books. Lots of history and understanding of women’s lives."I want to read that too. I recommend checking out
https://bookpassage.extendedsession.com/
where you can see Lisa See talk about this book in the archived files that were done this year. It is quite interesting to hear from the author's own viewpoint how she came to write the book.
Maggie wrote: "Hollywood Park by Mikel Jollett"This is an incredible story. I was amazed by what his life was like and doubly amazed by how he succeeded despite his upbringing.
Reading Prairie by Anna Lee Waldo. It's a bit slow, but interesting. Also recently read Duma Key by Stephen King which was really good.
I just finished The Vanishing Half.
High recommend! Here’s my five star review:

I'm currently reading " A Good Girl's Guide to Murder" by Holly Jackson. Such an addictive read. Highly recommend.
I'm listening to On Earth We are Briefly Gorgeous by Ocean Vuong. Has anyone else read it? I don't think it is a good one for audio as it seems very slow to me. Does it get better?
I’m so disappointed. I just finished The Secrets We Kept.
I was expecting to love it and found it dull and lifeless. Here’s my review:
