I never got into the State of Wonder and maybe that's why the DH's still not started, but, she has a great narrative style, so

Sher, glad you loved The Winemaker's Wife by Kristin Harmel , I have this book and looking forward to reading it. Yes, HF and Paris great match. I really like Kristin Harmel. Her last two books, The Book of Lost Names by Kristin Harmel and The Forest of Vanishing Stars by Kristin Harmel I thought were fantastic, so moving and emotional. Have you read either of those?

Apple Gidley (httpwwwgoodreadscomapplegidley) | 3 comments Good morning - I'm reading Travels with Myself and Another - it's Martha Gellhorn's memoir - fascinating, funny and at times harsh. I find her style is more British than American which surprises me. She would've been fascinating to have at a dinner party, if a little intimidating!

I had read all these great reviews of that book but it was just not my cup of tea at all...very pretentious. it wasn't the type of other worlds/lives I had been expecting.

I liked that one. You may find it more interesting as the story evolves into a different direction towards the end. Looking forward to reading your review once you´re finished!
