Joann: You are Correct, it’s coming 8/30/22. I got an Advance Release Copy, meaning the publisher approves you early for leaving a Review of the book. Usually I use NetGalley for these.

The book is very emotional, and I lived in NY most of my life and heard of Willowbrook. I love Ellen Marie Wiseman and how she handles subjects others forget about, especially children. I really enjoyed The Orphan Collector. Did you read that one? I believe it is Free if you have Kindle Unlimited.

Love to know what you think about the book when you read it.

Sure, I was completely clueless until recently. Some people who are librarians, in publishing, authors, Book Blogs, and Social Media following get books directly sent to them. I wish.

It is easier then you think to set up a NetGalley account and get approved for books months early. It does take up a lot of time though.

Kristine | 284 comments Finishing The Lost Girls of Willowbrook by Ellen Marie Wiseman , Ellen Marie Wiseman and can Recommend this one Enough. It is based on the real life Willowbrook Institution and the horrible conditions the patients were forced to live under. I do remember the coverage and Geraldo Rivera did ground breaking reporting in January 1972. It started many similar institutions to close. So, Ellen Marie Wiseman I love since she takes up causes that others forget, the poor, neglected, sick, and especially Children.

This book is fiction. So, the part with Sage looking for her sister Rosemary is riveting.

The book was Published yesterday: 8/30/22, so this is one to Read. Her last book, The Orphan Collector by Ellen Marie Wiseman , was also one Iiked. It deals with The Spanish Flu, Children, and People with Sinister Motives. That one was on Kindle Unlimited for Free, not sure if it still is. Also, for Amazon Prime books~can take out up to 10 Prime Books at a time.
