Ch. 21 (view spoiler)[ Okay so Adam and Juliette are broken up. I feel like I should be more upset about this situation but I'm really not lol. I don't think Adam really ever grew on me. He always just seemed kind of...boring. (This may also have to do with the fact that I've read the Destroy Me novella and I've been slowly inching over to team Warner.) I'm going to need Juliette to start being a little smarter. She sees Warner and nearly gets caught while looking at him. I need her to make better decisions. I love this scene with Warner and the dog though. It's so nice to be able to see other sides of him and I hope we get more of this in the future. (hide spoiler)]

Ch. 40 (view spoiler)[ Okay the whole scene between Warner's father (Anderson), Juliette, and Warner is the craziest thing I've read in this book so far. I really like seeing the relationship between Warner and his father I feel like it explains a lot. Anderson is the terrifying and disgusting villain in this book. Like he clearly has no morals at all and he doesn't care for his family at all. When Warner (whose first name we now know is Aaron!) threatened to kill his father and Anderson was threatening to kill Juliette I was freaking out so much lol. I love when Juliette overpowered Anderson and shot him twice. I wish Kenji had let her kill him because I don't really wanna see him again. So now we're taking Warner hostage which means more Warner in the future 😄. Also how about the fact that Anderson is Adam's father and that Adam and Warner are brothers. This is probably why both of them can touch Juliette. (hide spoiler)]

Also what happened to Sonya and Sara, they clearly helped heal Juliette so are they still in the house? Did they already heal Anderson? Is Anderson coming back for them? I need answers. I can't wait til the next book though when Juliette finds Anderson and kicks some butt. (hide spoiler)]

Chapter 40

(view spoiler)[So... Here's the thing.

I hated the first book SO MUCH that I keep asking me why the hell did I decide to continue this series. And even now that I know the author will continue it when I thought it was only a trilogy.

To be honest I'm skipping chapters and the most ironic thing is that I'm still understanding everything that's happening. I really hate the writer style of this book it makes me want to punch someone or kill someone, I hate even more Juliette, damn, this girl is fucking stupid and most at all annoying. Adam is so fucking lame and fake to me and Warner is a sociopath.

I only liked Kenji in the first book but now that I know about him and his character is just a lame copy of Four -Divergent- with Peeta -THG- idk.

This book is seriously lame and awful, I mean don't get me wrong it's just that I don't see a fucking plot here even when I skipped so many chapters these guys where talking about the same shit when I started read it and the plot IS NONE. They just talk and talk and talk for God's sake THEY JUST TALK. And I seriously prefer them talking because when the author describe everything around them just makes me want to take a nap.

This book is really not my thing and I'll finish it (I'm still skipping chapters) but I think I will not read the third book and less now that the author will continue with this lame and fucking boring series. (hide spoiler)]

Juliette blames herself more than Katherine Winters -Goddess Test- and Aelin Ashryver -Throne of Glass- and that's a lot of blame! I just can't sorry, Juliette piss me off more than Aelin I would rather read one hundred times more Throne of Glass than these two books.

I won't even talk about "the plot" because there's none and just bye... I don't want to think that I actually read this book even skipping chapters.

Just... Thank you for buddy read with me these book, I hope we can buddy other time a book that I actually like. I just hope you don't get mad or something because I don't like these book.

Yeah I think the writing style in this series is not for everyone. Personally, I thought I wasn't going to like it that much because I'm usually not into very poetic writing, but idk this writing for some reason clicked for me. (view spoiler)[ As for Juliette, I thought her character was really annoying and she didn't do much in this book. And I've always found Adam annoying and boring. I did enjoy Warner's character and a lot of that has to do with the fact that I read the destroy me novella before this book which gives some more information through his perspective. Personally, I found his character to be pretty interesting and I enjoyed the scenes with him in it (hide spoiler)] I definitely understand that everyone has different tastes and not wanting to spend time on a series you dislike.

Although... Tahereh Mafi clearly knows all the issues with Juliette's character if she's writing Kenji calling her out like this. So my question is, does she intentionally make Juliette problematic?? Does she want her to be annoying so that Juliette has room to grow? Idk. (hide spoiler)]
