Paul Fulcher (fulcherkim) | 13392 comments Very gracious tweet from Frank Wynne

"I can say, in all sincerity, that the book I wanted to win the #MBI2018, won. Obviously, I would like to be richer, would like Vernon to reach a wider audience, but “Flights“ is one of the finest translations I have read in a decade thanks to @jenniferlcroft"

A thoroughly deserved win. Having finished Under The Rock yesterday, I was considering knocking Flights down to second on my best of the year list, but I can't do that now!

Paul Fulcher (fulcherkim) | 13392 comments The two translators clearly formed a genuinely strong bond, sealed by a tshirt.

Neil There’s that, but the most fascinating bit is that she talked to four different translators and it is interesting to see their similarities and their differences.
