Mmhh, I'm not sure I'm going to read either of those series. Parasol was great because it was different but... we'll see once I finally finish it hehe.

I don't think Anita Blake has a spin-off series. What are you going to do? :D

Then I'll take a closer look at the spin-off shelf to decide which book I want to read.

Thanks a lot for playing guys, I hope you had fun! I always love SoS Bingo and am already looking forward to next round :-)
If you have any more books on the go, as Sandra stated above, you have a few more days to finish them up or post the last reviews of the books you just finished for either of our shelves.
I'll finish my UF fantasy in the coming days and will post that completion post as normal, then request that stamp, but I'm going to skip the Spin-Off shelf, I think. I'll post all your Spin-Off reviews though of course! :-)

Busy busy day indeed! I'll keep my fingers crossed that your entire summer won't be as exhausting, but from what you mentioned before, it just might be.
Happy summer, hopefully business will be good and you can get maybe 5 minutes of reading time in every now and then before you crash over the book hehe.

So.... when's the next round? :D

Hope you're enjoying Wuthering Heights :-) I should swing by the BR thread at some point to read comments.

yay! can't wait!

Review
Another great addition to the Black Dagger Brotherhood series.
Butch has always been an interesting character from the moment he first stepped onto the pages of these books and he had a difficult path. He didn't exactly grow as a character but there was a certain development to his persona nonetheless. It was certainly nice to see him finally get the woman he has been pining for for so long. Even if it was at great cost for her - initially anyway.
There were moments I wanted to slap Marissa though because she was being a hypocrite but at the same time, the things she has had to put up with in her life... I was cheering for her when she finally up and decided to do something incredible with her life, stood up to all those who treated her like dirt before and basically threw it all back in their faces, though they probably didn't quite realise it yet.
Then there is Vishous who has a very particular bond to Butch and there were moments where I was wondering if J.R. Ward was going to turn everything around. The two have always been close and it was great to see this bond develop even further in this book.

We can still request the Gothic Horror stamp as well once Victoria is done with Wuthering Heights :-)

I'm a little on the fence as to how I feel about this book. I loved the writing, the writing in some classics becomes stale and difficult to follow overtime, but this was fluid and easily enjoyable. I found the story to be rather fascinating, but I didn't exactly love it. Nearly all the character were unlikable, which may be why I wasn't able to fully fall in love with the story. I still really loved Heathcliff's character despite him being rather monstrous, but I wanted to shake every other character into oblivion.
In short, I liked it a lot and can understand how it's some peoples favorite, but it's definitely not my favorite book or even favorite classic.

It was different than I expected, although I knew shockingly little of the story so not sure what I expected. And I liked it, but sorta thought it'd become an instant favorite, which it unfortunately wasn't

way to go Allison!

Review:
Anita's live is never dull. She is going against the vampire council while helping the fire department. Jean Claude was a main character in this book and he is powerful but does not flaunt his power. Anita is still brash and doesn't think anything through before opening her mouth. This book is full of action and violence and craziness.
