Letters
A, B, C, D, E, F, G, H, I, J, K, L, M, N, O, P, R, S, T, and W
Categories
1. Author
The author's name must begin with the chosen letter. The author's first, middle, or last name may be used. If the author has more than one name beginning with the chosen letter, it will be worth more points (1 point for each name beginning with the letter).
Author names MUST be the names found on the book. It doesn't matter if someone's middle name is the same letter, if they don't use it professionally.
2. Cover
Find an item on a cover that begins with the chosen letter. Only one item may be used, even if there is more than one that would work. If the item is something that is called with two or more words beginning with the chosen letter you would earn extra points.
3. Main Female Character
The heroine of the story. The name found on the back cover (synopsis). If the story happens to be about two or more women, and they get equal time in the story, then any of the names would work - but only one character's name.
If more than one of the her names (first, middle, and/or last) begin with the chosen letter, it will be worth more points (1 point for each name beginning with the letter).
4. Main Male Character
The hero of the story. The name found on the back cover (synopsis). If the story happens to be about two or more men, and they get equal time in the story, then any of the names would work - but only one character's name.
If more than one of his names (first, middle, and/or last) begin with the chosen letter, it will be worth more points (1 point for each name beginning with the letter).
5. Title
As shown in the example above, the title category must have a word beginning with the chosen letter ANYWHERE in the title. The words "A", "AN", "AND", or "THE" do NOT count towards points.
If more than one of the words begin with the chosen letter, it will be worth more points (1 point for each word beginning with the letter).

Book Requirements:
❀Must be 150+ pages.
❀May be read in any format (print, ebook, audio, etc.).
❀All genres are allowed.
❀You may reread a book for the challenge, it's not preferred but it is allowed. The book must be read in it's entirety, not just skimmed. You may not however reread a book that you used already for this challenge.
❀All books used for the challenge MUST be started AFTER the category is called. If you realize a book you've already started before the category would be a perfect fit for the challenge, you may restart it and then it will count - but only if you restart it.

Hi Cynthia & Kimberly,Looking forward to working with you ladies. Do either of you want to be team captain? Also, we can pick a name for our team if we want to.
Hi Brittany,I'm fine with either of you being Team Captain. Team Name? How about:
Reading To Win or
3 Little Readers or
.....I'm out of ideas...lol
I am fine with either of those names Cynthia. Do you have a favorite, Kimberly?I will be team captain if neither of you want to. I played Book Scattergories last time, however, haven't ever been team captain. But I don't mind doing it if no one else wants to.
Looks like the category will be called and announced on Monday.
Brittany, I am fine with you being captain. Right now I have enough other things on my plate. I like Three Little Readers.
Can't wait to begin.
ok, the first category is the letter C and main male character. I am off to try to see if I can find a book with a main male with a first and last name starting with C. I will message you both to let you know what I find.
I give up. I was looking for two C's but was unsuccessful so I am going with one of my favorites that I haven't read for a while "Mansfield Park" with the male Henry Crawford. I think of him as a main character.
Kimberly, I love Mansfield Park! I sent you a message with my choice. 2 C's in the name in case you wanted to check that one out. Happy Reading!
I love Jane Austen. Unfortunately it means I have some sleepless nights as I cannot put them down. Here is the review link for this book. BTW my gentleman with C is Henry Crawford!

New category is O on the cover. Find a cover with something on it that begins with O. Can only be one thing that begins with O on it.
No, Kimberly, I hadn't seen that. Hope you enjoy Inescapable. I read it about a year ago and really liked it. I will be reading Seaside Romance by Mia Ross, which has an ocean on it.
I love it when a book I enjoy is a book I need to read. Inescapable is great! Here is my review:https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
