There is an incredibly compelling jump-start to this book. It was hard to put down and I had to fall asleep with the lights on! Several twists and turns kept me guessing throughout the plot. Dani and Adam were great main characters and their friendship-romance developed in a believable way. The villains were realistically flawed, but still unnerving. This was a perfect suspense novel for me and I will definitely be reading more by Lynette Eason!

Another enjoyable read by Eason! Although that villain was incredibly creepy . . .

Recommended for ages 16+ for mature themes, such as domestic violence, romance, and the aforementioned creepy bad guy.

That’s what Dani Harding has to figure out in Lynette Eason’s novel, Nowhere to Turn. Dani’s lived in fear the last twelve years, but her future will make that terror feel like happiness. Listening to this again is kinda like watching a movie you've seen before... you're familiar with the story, you know how it goes, but you still enjoy it. :)
It's nice to have some books like this available when there's no new-to-me books available to listen to. :)

Nowhere to Turn is a tension-filled novel with a bit of a mystery to it.

Lynette Eason weaves a web in this novel that has you wondering who exactly is after Dani Harding, and why? Between her brother-in-law Stuart and a seemingly deadlier foe, Dani only wants to be able to have a normal life with her son, Simon, after her abusive husband is dead.

Dani is a complex character. There is a lot number of things from her past that have brought her to the point of where this novel takes place. Adam, the

When the good guys are the bad guys and you question which official to trust, where do you turn and how can you be sure anything is safe?

This is Danielle Harding's life as all she wants to do is escape from her husband, then his stalking brother, and protect her son. Any where she turns seems to bring an element of danger.

What a suspenseful book. Another Lynette Eason page turner.

There is danger and fear on every page. It doesn't help that the bad guys are in the FBI. Dani and her son Simon are on the run for their lives and Adam is determined to save them. It was nearly impossible to put this book down. My heart was pounding when I finally came up for air.

Lynette Eason has made her way on my Top 5 Favourite Suspense writers. I always find myself flying through her books and wanting to read just one more chapter.

The plot:
It started with a very fast pace, slowed a bit around 50-70% and then picked up the pace again. Somethings I did guess very quickly, like how they kept finding them, but Lynette kept me guessing on most of the important twists and the ending I never saw coming. Only at the end did I figure out Butterfly and I found myself holding

Nowhere To Turn was a good romantic suspense read. It starts off crazy-good and the pages just flew by! However, I did get a little tired of the story when, for the majority of the book, it was all about running away, finding new "safe" houses, etc. and that the main characters didn't think of certain things sooner.

Still, I did like the story as a whole and lo

Nowhere to Turn by Lynette Eason is a thrill ride. It had me holding my breath and my stomach in knots, and this was within the first few chapters. Danielle is trying to escape an abusive relationship to her FBI husband with her 11 year old son. Her abusive husband happens to die the same day she is trying to escape. So you would think, end of story and a happy ending. Not in this case; for Danielle things go from bad to worse. Her brother in law is infatuated with her, and someone is trying to ...more

Nowhere to Turn is an exciting, tension-filled ride! It is book two in the Hidden Identity series, but is definitely readable as a stand alone novel. If you have read book one in the series, you will remember Adam Buchanan. He is now the hero of Nowhere to Turn and is tasked with the job of keeping Danielle Harding and her son safe from those who are trying to kill them.

Adam, Dani, and her son, Simon are very well-written and realistic characters. All three of them are good, solid, dependable pe

Yet another excellent romantic suspense from Ms. Eason!

I loved both Dani and Adam but I think my favorite character was Simon, Dani's twelve year old son. He was just so sweet and vulnerable that there were times my heart ached for him so much that I just wanted to hug him! And I loved how protective he was of his Mom! Another thing I loved was that the main characters of the previous book played a fairly large role in this book!

I don't think this is my favorite of Lynette Eason's books but with

From its first page, this book has you holding your breath. It is very compelling. If you don’t want to stay up all night reading, then this book isn’t for you. It is so fast-paced and heart-pumping that your fingers will be glued to it until the end. Lynette Eason does this so well. It is not confusing or repetitive. She is such a skilled writer with her attention to detail.

Lynette Eason's Nowhere to Turn is a page-turner of a romantic suspense. Danielle Harding just wants to escape her abusive husband. The day she has the courage to flee, he's killed. She believes her problems are over and she can begin to build a life for herself and her twelve-year-old deaf son. But she's wrong. In some ways her problems are multiplying. The book became a page-turner of a race to figure out who was after her. Trouble comes from many directions. And she has something that somebod ...more

The action & tension grabs you from the very first page & doesn't let up until end. Dani & Simon have lived in fear of Kurt for years. Finally free of him, life starts looking up. Then out of the blue someone tries to kill Dani & their life is in an upheaval. They are running for their lives, and once again scared.
I felt that Dani was a very real character. She was scared, but when she needed to act, she acted. She did what the agents told her to do. But when circumstances dicta

Not my favorite Eason, really. I got halfway through and put it down for four months, so it definitely isn't as suspenseful as others. Also, the ultimate reveal relied a trifle too much on a coincidence for me to find it satisfying; also, it raised just about as many questions as it answered. (view spoiler) And the writing was much more choppy than her usual, with sentence fragments and comma splices: I ge

In the suspense genre, there have been far too many stories to possibly pick out a favorite. Since more than one of these books often finds a place on the bookshelf, my opinion on a favorite suspense author wavers each time I read a new book from one of the five or so authors whose novels fall into this category and I regularly read. Lynette Eason’s follow up to her on-going series has again thrown my “mental” rankings into turmoil. In it, we meet Dani Harding, a woman with an 11-year-old son an ...more
