The Border to be published in Spring 2015 by Subterranean Press

The Border is Robert McCammon's new horror/SF novel. Here is what he wrote about it back in May:

Hello, all. I finished The Border about a month ago, but I wanted to wait to announce that until the book was out on the marketplace. I think it’s pretty good, and it’s certainly different from anything I’ve ever written. Hunter has read it and says he thinks it will appeal to fans of Swan Song and Stinger, so that sounds good to me.

River of Souls is next on my list of splurge purchases for myself. I hope he keeps going for many years to come!

Chad Lorion (goodreadscomcmichaellorion) Joanne, I'm rereading Stinger right now (first time was six years ago) and loving it all over again. Man, can McCammon write well-drawn characters!

Char I am so psyched!

message 23: by Kenneth (new)

Kenneth McKinley | 36 comments I am too. Welcome home, Bob. I love all of your stuff. But, you spoiled me with Swan Song, Wolfs Hour, They Thirst, Stinger, and more. I've waited oh so many years for him to come back to the genre he hooked us all on.

Yes, the pre-order is over for the two McCammon titles now. It was "for two days or while supplies last," so I guess the allotted number for the sale has been sold.

All of the 50% off books appear to have sold out as nothing is available for that price. 4/13/15 4:00pm West Coast time.

Jaro (aplaceofmarvels) Since Stephen King tweeted about The Border ("Rip-roaring, old school SF. Mean aliens, heroic earthlings. Subterranean Press. Late May. I dug it") it is now in a poll for the Stephen King Fans' group read discussion in June. Currently 2nd place. Since then the book also seems to have had a lot of to-read adds. I'm really looking forward to this one.

Char Oh man, you have no idea how excited I am about this one!
I'll be interested to see if it wins the SK group poll.

message 31: by Jennicem (new)

Jennicem | 30 comments I don't join in the group reads too often... But I will it this is for June.

Sill second place. Nine votes behind. It will probably not win. Last day tomorrow.

Chad Lorion (goodreadscomcmichaellorion) I gotta hurry up and finish Black House so I can go out, buy The Border, and lay out in my backyard and enjoy a long read. OK, maybe not lay out, but sit out in my backyard in a lawn chair. Either way, I gots to read this!
