Great idea! I do like buddy reads, I never remember to ask if anyone wants to join me though as I rarely plan ahead what I'm reading.
Ok so now you made me want to try the Hollows series, so... does anyone want to buddy read the first book Dead Witch Walking with me? :D

My schedule is set up to read a book every two weeks. I was going to start it today, but the prequel is longer than I thought when I made my schedule, so I have to push it back. I'm also reading the Sookie Stackhouse series as a buddy read (every two weeks), with the second book starting on the 14th.
If you're willing to wait a little bit, I can start Dead Witch Walking on the 21st.
Oh you mean I have to think about stuff first? :PI was just thinking of reading the first one, I'm not committing to the rest of the series in case I don't like it LOL xD
Though you seem to have good taste, so I'm pretty sure I'll like them :D
I have no problem waiting till the 21st! And if we're doing the series you can set the time scale if you want, seeing as you have other buddy reads going :)
My whole year is planned ... lol Here's this month:January 2018:
Sookie Stackhouse (SS)
- Dead Until Dark -- Finished 01/03
The Hollows (TH)
- The Turn: The Hollows Begins with Death -- Currently Reading
- Blood Work
- Blood Crime
Up Next:
TH - Dead Witch Walking --
SS - Living Dead in Dallas -- Jan. 14th
TH - The Good, the Bad, and the Undead -- Jan. 21st ∞
SS - Club Dead -- Jan. 28th
Wow nice! I can't do that, I literally just choose my next one after I finish my current one :D
So I can adjust to whichever time schedule you want if you're interested in reading #1 with me :)
Don't you get stressed that you have to finish a book by a certain time? And what happens if you finish earlier?
Stress, yes, but I'm hoping that being organized will help to keep me reading. I'll know whats next instead of dithering and being indecisive - therefore I'll be less likely fall into a slump. I chose the six specific series for this year because I know I want to read at least five of them. Only two are entirely new to me, and one of those is from a favored author. So I think I'm safe there.
I scheduled the novels, but not the bonus stories (which is why I've already goofed with The Turn), so if I finish a novel early, I can either read one of those or whichever book is next on my list.
I'm also teaching and taking two classes this semester so I will always be busy with something. :)
This is the first time I'm trying this method, so it could all blow up in my face, but I am hopeful.
As for Dead Witch Walking, if you are more comfortable reading it now, then please do. I don't remember all of the particulars, but I am familiar enough with the series to offer some discussion.
I'm giving myself this week (Today through Saturday) to read all of the prequels, and then I'll start Dead Witch Walking as soon as I can. The Sookie books are shorter than The Hollows books, so I might be able to make up time there.
I'm reading something else right now anyways, so I would be happy to wait if you're planning on reading it soon anyways :)
Hi Doodle Panda, I am now officially behind on both my buddy reads and my personal challenge. It may take me a bit to catch up.I got very little leisure reading time this week.

No worries, don't stress about it! I have plenty of other books to read :)
