Whoop whoop! So we're done with that stop. Next up is Madinah/Medina in Saudi Arabia. What's everyone's preference for this stop? There are authors from Saudi Arabia and books set in Saudi as well. Are you up for that or should we do another spell-it-out?
Detour for this is a romance book which isn’t approved by a family member.
Medina, Saudi ArabiaMedina (/məˈdiːnə/; Arabic: المدينة المنورة, al-Madīnah al-Munawwarah, "the radiant city"; or المدينة, al-Madīnah (Hejazi pronunciation: [almaˈdiːna]), "the city"), also transliterated as Madīnah, is a city in the Hejaz region of the Arabian Peninsula and administrative headquarters of the Al-Madinah Region of Saudi Arabia. At the city's heart is al-Masjid an-Nabawi ("the Prophet's Mosque"), which is the burial place of the Islamic prophet Muhammad, and is the second-holiest city in Islam after Mecca.
Medina was Muhammad's destination of his Hijrah (migration) from Mecca, and became the capital of a rapidly increasing Muslim Empire, under Muhammad's leadership. It served as the power base of Islam in its first century where the early Muslim community developed. Medina is home to the three oldest mosques, namely the Quba Mosque, al-Masjid an-Nabawi,[1] and Masjid al-Qiblatayn ("the mosque of the two qiblas"). Muslims believe that the chronologically final surahs of the Quran were revealed to Muhammad in Medina, and are called Medinan surahs in contrast to the earlier Meccan surahs.[2][3]
Just like Mecca, the city center of Medina is closed to anyone who is considered a non-Muslim, including members of the Ahmadiyya movement, by the national government; however, other parts of the city are not closed.[4][5][6]

I can do either one. I have some Saudi Authors and Philosophers I wanted to read. But I can also do those as spell it outs. So its really up to everyone else.
Either is fine with me :) Like Tahmina, I also want to explore Saudi Arabia. Seems like we are doing more spell out nowadays...
Here are some suggestions for books...https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/...

I don't have any books by Saudi authors or set in Saudi Arabia - so will be limited to what I can find at the library
OK - I have found:
Girl of the Book by Princila Murrell on the Saudi Arabia list link - is a Saudi author and set in Saudi Arabia - so will read that. All sorted :)
By my count there are only 1. Kavitha
2. Tahmina
3. Nicole
4. Bea
5. Franziska
I don’t have any books by Saudi authors, but I also haven’t checked the links you‘ve provided. If there‘s any interesting book, I will let you know in the afternoon... because actually I would love to do anything but spell-outs this time
