So I am pretty sure I checked this one when you told me you were planning on it and it worked for blue but I didn't write down the percentage, so I just went back and checked it so I could write it down, and now it's showing up as mostly gray. *sigh*
So I'll keep an eye on it throughout the month to see if it changes to blue. Tineye is SUPER finicky -- because this is not the first time during this challenge that it has changed colors on me for the same cover, so maybe before the end of the month it'll change back (and I'll screenshot this time). But for now I'm going to place as a non-color card since Tineye isn't agreeing with blue — and even though it looks navy altogether, the color it's pulling does look more gray, so I don't think mods would approve as is. But it could change later in the month. I'll keep an eye on it. Just wanted to let you know in case you wonder why it's placed elsewhere.
ETA: We do have a few other books we have read this month that we can shuffle around to cover the 0 Blue card if Tineye doesn't change so we don't need to worry about a backup, but I will give Ahsoka dibs first if it changes.

This one looks like it can't count for the mini because they have to also be started after April 12 (not just finished after then) and it shows me reading updates before April 12. But I will get it added to the regular hands :)
Ohhh, right, I forgot. It's not just finished after April 12th, it has to be started after, too. Sorry!
No worries :) It's happened a few times so I wanted to just remind everyone so when they saw I didn't add certain ones to the spreadsheet they knew why!

They said it'll work! But please make sure to also let me know what else it will work as once you're done with it -- Avni's fits the other world task too, so the more options I know for each one, the more optimally I can place everything :)

Awesome, thanks! I'll let you know what else it fits once I'm done
Also, I found this list, Same Cover, Different Book which should be helpful in choosing books for that specific task, since two of the tasks are to read two different books with the same cover (task 1 = book 1, task 2 = book 2)! Unfortunately not all of the look-alikes are listed right next to each other, but most of them are close together — and the comments are helpful too!Plus I know some series have pretty much the same cover for each book, so there’s an option as well if any of you know of them.
ETA: And Cover Clones.

So weird! I have the physical copy and it's definitely a pretty vibrant blue. Ah well, hopefully we have another book to fit that slot in case!
Other cards it works for:
0 - stand alone
2 - Ahsoka Tano
8 - E K Johnston
9 - CFN Neera
Hmmm if that’s the case then it should work despite what Tineye says! Mods always say physical copy trumps Tineye. :) I will ask just to be safe!

Just a heads up, in case we can't find "haiku" (mini challenge task 37) in any text later — I know for certain that it can be found in The Hundred Lies of Lizzie Lovett. I was so excited when I was reading it last night and found that word....only to remember I started it before April 12 so I couldn't count it. *sigh*

I was so ex..."Slaughterhouse Five has the word haiku in it, so I got it! It is frustrating realizing that it doesn't fit for the challenge. I was so excited about Skyler's Monster bc it had a Y in the title which would help with the harder title challenges
Sigh -- I just realized the lists links I posted above didn't work. Maybe because I tried it from my phone? It looked like a URL where it was underlined and a different color, but didn't actually link. Sorry, all! I fixed them.Same Cover, Different Book
Cover Clones
The general instruction is that they should be ones with the same image, and they can be different, but not *too* different. Like if it's the same photo and it's a slightly different color or cut, it's OK.
For example:
&
have been approved as OK.But
&
have been ruled too different. So not everything on those lists will be acceptable. Some are different but very similar pictures, or some have been altered too much -- but there are several that should work, so it'll be a good starting point.
So if you are interested in the same cover, different book task (either one book or both! We can always try to have a different person read each) and you have any questions about whether something is similar enough, let me know and I can ask for a ruling on it!
Amanda A wrote: "Are these close enough?
"I am finding out for you! I'd think it'd be OK because it looks like the same picture with just a slightly different zoom and color.... but better safe than sorry :)
I'll let you know what I hear.

COLOR CARD UPDATE
Hi team!
We have about a week left in April (and the whole challenge!) so I wanted to give you all an update on where we stand with color cards.
Here are the ones still unfilled as of now —
1 Red (Kaley plans to cover)
1 Yellow
4 Yellow (Amanda plans to cover)
8 Yellow
So our real needs are 1 Yellow and 8 Yellow.
However — a few of our other yellow books (2, 6, & 9) can fit for 8 Yellow. So if you have a yellow cover book that doesn't fit 8 Yellow but does fit for 2 Yellow, 6 Yellow, or 9 Yellow, let me know and we can rearrange their placement to fit.
From what I can tell, none of our current yellow books will cover the 1, so we can't do any rearranging with that one — we do need something that can fit 1 Yellow.
Let me know if you're planning to read anything that would fit one of our color cards before the month ends or if you have any questions! :)
I already read one that works for 1 Yellow too. I will try to post my books finished recently this afternoon.

Hi everyone! We should be good on color cards now. I just realized that one of the books from Pixie's shelf that we're allowed to use for April (since Pratik dropped in Feb.) is yellow and can fit for 9 Yellow .... and the card I currently have placed as 9 Yellow can be moved to 8 Yellow to fill the last spot :)If anyone is going to read for the last color card before the end of the month, I'll of course use yours instead! But I wanted to let you all know that we do have something that can fill that spot in case no one else can fill it.
