Jenna | 74 comments this has been fun to do. since i read about a book a day, it was easy enough for me to add on titles w/the letters. and good motivation to finally read some stuff on my "to read" list.

but any ideas for X?

i've previously read all of the sue grafton alphabet/kinsey malone series so i can't do that.

Shelley DONE!!!

Call me crazy, but I'm going to start a second challenge. I've already completed 8 books on my first challenge, and have 4 in process. My overall goal for the year includes 50 YA/Adult books, so I think this is doable. Obviously, I won't be the first one done (some of you read A LOT . . . I'm jealous), but this has been an awesome challenge. There are AT LEAST 2 books on my TBR list for every letter of the alphabet (except Q and X) that I REALLY want to read, so here goes!

UPDATE: So . . . I had planned to complete this challenge with only Young Adult and Adult books, BUT I've read a lot more Juvenile books than expected this year. Thus, I'm going to use some of them for this challenge. I feel a bit guilty, but honestly, most of the Juvenile books I've read are as long as the Adult books I read.

Very Cool! I am having some difficulty with the usual letters. I may "borrow" some of your ideas. Serial Reader has helped me with several, although a couple are probably only short stories. It''s been fun, and like you have founds some things I wouldn't have ever read.

message 244: by Marcos (last edited Feb 20, 2018 05:30PM) (new)

Marcos Kopschitz | 1766 comments My suggestion is that books in a series with books all starting with the same letter but with a clear subtitle could be approached like this:

1. If you only read ONE book, then the very first letter (like H) OR the first letter of the subtitle.

2. If you read more than one, then the first letter of the subtitle (like "S" for "Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone").

But in this case no "H"!

Rules are up to Kasey, this is just a suggestion.

COMPLETED

Hmm I am pretty Confident that I will NOT complete this challenge.
But I am going to play along anyways

Edit (March 29): I am very proud that I have finished 10 already!
I think I have changed my motivation from let's participate and see how far can I go to lets complete the challenge!

Edit (Sept 12): I am really struggling in completing the remining letters, especially Q, X, Y. I can't seem to find anything that I might like, and I am debating whether it is fruitful to force read some books to complete the challange, or just don't complete it.

Edit (Dec 28): Huh! I finished!
