I know you've already read Meik Wiking, so something else I can recommend is one I'm enjoying at the moment, Big Magic: Creative Living Beyond Fear. Personally I don't have any particularly burning creative passions, but I'm still getting a lot out of it, in an advice-for-life kind of way. It's the sort of book that you can pick up and read just 5 minutes at a time, or in a big chunk; whatever suits your mood.

This was recommended to me recently by someone else as well! Think I might add it to my list, thanks! :)

Krystal (krystallee6363) | 898 comments Finished my first one and HIGHLY recommend for anyone else who appreciates self-development or just generally would enjoy an eye-opening, thought-provoking book on the nature of shame and vulnerability.

Daring Greatly How the Courage to Be Vulnerable Transforms the Way We Live, Love, Parent, and Lead by Brené Brown by Brené Brown

We’ll all be coming to you for life and spiritual guidance by the end of the year, I’m sure :)

Haha it's a lovely thought but I suspect my form of sage advice will just be recommending a bunch of books ;)

Alli Whannell | 15 comments Love your review on your first book in this challenge. Looking forward to seeing more reviews. Very keen to see what outcome you achieve personally after the self-help challenge. I love a good self-help book and the feeling of enlightenment that comes from reading them.
Happy Reading!

Thanks Alli! I read a few last year and really enjoyed them so I'm looking forward to completing this challenge! Daring Greatly was a great book to start with :)

Krystal (krystallee6363) | 898 comments Finished my second one from the list but it was a bit disappointing!

Emotional Intelligence: Managing Emotions to Make a Positive Impact on Your Life and Career by Gill Hasson only copped 2 stars.

Krystal (krystallee6363) | 898 comments I've been slacking off a little but am now a third of the way there!

The Power Is Within You by Louise L. Hay was a decent one, but the ideas weren't anything new to me. Great for 'beginners' though!

Krystal (krystallee6363) | 898 comments Two more down, although Rise Sister Rise: A Guide to Unleashing the Wise, Wild Woman Within by Rebecca Campbell was so disappointing that I DNF'd it.

Siddhartha by Hermann Hesse was a 5 star win, though!
