16/70 here (with 4 I want to re-read because it's been a while), I need to start catching up on the picks for this year. Took me three months to finish reading Altered Carbon (even though I enjoyed it).
OK, so not being a Google Docs guy, I did a little copy and paste magic to convert the checklist to Excel (on Dropbox) https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/6... and Numbers (on Dropbox - zipped) https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/6...Have fun!
I've only read seven of these. Awesome, I know what my new reading list is. New plan, right after I finish the books i'm currently on.
20/70, having joined when Altered Carbon was the monthly pick. Another 5 are in the top 100 of my to-read list.
34 out of 70. Average of my ratings is 3.05, which fits perfectly with how I rate books on Goodreads. There have been some great reads and some real dogs, the average being exactly in the middle.
I have just finished my list-obsessed need to finish all the S&L books with "The Lies of Locke Lamora." Now I have to get back to finishing all the series that got me started on. I'm gonna need another checklist...
24/70. I've lemmed 6 and never got around to finishing American Gods. I should really pick that one up again...
I've done 41/72 with 5 lems. There are some on the list that I still want to get to. American Gods and Neuromancer in particular. I was a little late in joining there were probably about 10 books before I joined.
37/70, not too bad, I did much better with the books read since I discovered S&L (21/30) than with the older picks.
Hmmm. Only 25/70 for me, split just about evenly before/after discovering the Joy of S&L. I also counted 23 books (print/digital) I own but haven't read yet. Since I still scrounge in used book stores and hangout on the S&L Kindle daily deal thread, my TBR pile is growing exponentially.
I've read 25/70 as well. I joined Sword and Laser about 1 1/2 years ago. Since then, I've only missed 1 book (not counting the alt picks). My to-read list is about to grow--I'm going to add all the books I've missed. Thanks for creating the checklist!
Is 70 the total without the alt picks?Because if I'm counting correctly:
I've read 69
Tried and Lem'd 5 (Downbelow Station, The Dirty Streets of Heaven, Tigana, Watership Down, and Dune)
Outright skipped 6 (Empire State, Blindsight, World War Z: An Oral History of the Zombie War, The Windup Girl, The Forever War, and Memoirs Found in a Bathtub).
34 over the years, although almost none as part of the actual monthly picks.Interesting to see the full list -- I kind of wish I would've been around for Dune and/or The Moon Is a Harsh Mistress.

The old wrap-up episodes are still there and available from the wiki.

Just click on the title. That's what I've been doing after I finish each old pick. It's not the same, but it's still fun.

Thanks! Unfortunately my to-be-listened podcast list is almost as bad as my to-be-read book list, but I'll have to add these to the mix ...
I've read 43, not all necessarily when S&L did. I lemmed six, but not the Lem. It was a good reminder how far back I have been around! Started with del Franco.
Only 29 for me. I do have unread copies of a lot of others from before I started reading along around Old Man's War and Bridge of Birds though.
