I have finished The Ghost Brigades, book 2 of John Scalzi's Old Man's War series. This was an excellent book, even better than Old Man's War which I read in 2016. I don't think I will wait that long to read the third book of the series.10/75
Just completed the 2nd book in the Throne of Glass series - Crown of Midnight by Sarah J. Maas. Good follow-up to the first book in the series. This book was not quite as enjoyable, simply because the storyline is becoming more complex. I appreciate how she's trying to make the characters more interesting and complex as the story progresses. Definitely worth reading. 4 stars5/15

I will finish 2 series I have started before this year. (16 books)I will start 2 series this year. (12 books)
I will read 2 series from start to finish this year. (12 books)
I will read 28 number of books that are part of a series. (28 books)
My total number of books is 56
I have finished the Mickey Haller series by Michael Connelly reading book 5 The Gods of Guilt. Now, Goodreads shows a book 6 in this series, but The Crossing is book 18 of the Harry Bosch series and I will count it as such when I get there. I am only through book 14 in that one, so it will be a bit.12/75
Sorry for the late start. I would like to join in. The majority of my goals this year is series related. Continue Series:

The Expanse 0/6
1. Caliban's War
2. Abaddon's Gate
3. Cibola Burn
4. Nemesis Games
5. Babylon's Ashes
6. Persepolis Rising
Start Series:

If somehow I get this far I will continue the Wheel of Time and maybe mix in the following series starters: 0/3
1. Ninefox Gambit
2. Wool Omnibus
3. Red Rising
Total: 0/22
I doubt I will get this much done based on my own history and the magnitude and size of these titles but if I do, I will continue alternating a Wheel of Time book with a started trilogy book in the last section.

5. Ready Player one - This is the only book in the series so far but a sequel is in the works.6. Edgedancer - Stormlight archive 2.5

8. The affair at the Styles - Hercule Poirot #1
8/15 completed
Just started (and will not continue) another series - Detective Max Rupert by Allen Eskens - The Life We Bury by Allen Eskens. Entertaining read, but the action sequences were highly unrealistic. While I appreciated some character development over the realization that a criminal is innocent so now we treat him like a person, it shouldn't require innocence to treat someone with cancer like a person, regardless of their past. Writing was simplistic. Not bad but not great either. Worth reading if you need something light and unrealistic. 3 stars6/15
Just read Blue on Black, a short Harry Bosch story by Michael Connelly. Goodreads shows this as Harry Bosch Series book 14.5.13/75
