I very much enjoyed my TREES choice, although in this case they were blackened by fire in And Fire Came Down by Aussie author Emma Viskic. I am a big fan of her deaf detective who keeps finding himself with dodgy people in dark places!

I am half way through and I think I'm doing this the wrong way around - I've hidden the gift until I can put it under the tree!!!Trouble is I haven't bought it yet, or wrapped it!!!

Glad I didn't really hide anything under these fire-charred trees from Aussie author Emma Viskic's second Caleb Zelic mystery, And Fire Came Down. I do enjoy this stubborn, deaf detective.

That was a very good book - was one of the first See books I read. I am hit and miss with her books - either love them or loathe them - but she is a good writer

Step 1 - Pick a gift
Task: read a book with your gift on the cover.
Step 2 – Wrap up the gift
Task: pick the colour of your wrapping paper and read a book cover to reflect that colour (chosen colour must be at least 50% of the cover)
Step 3 – Hide the gift until Christmas Eve
Task: read a book where there is a place you can hide your present on the cover
Step 4 – On Christmas Eve place the present under the tree
Task: read a book that has a tree on the cover

Oh dear- all these people have bought and wrapped their presents and put them under the tree and I haven't even started! Always do leave my Christmas gifts to the last minute! Well done to everyone who has finished this challenge already :)

Hmm, maybe one Brenda. Will have to see how I go over the next week. I'm on annual leave from today for a month (Yay!) but I actually read less when I'm on holiday because I lose my daily 2-3h of commuting (or uninterrupted reading time as I like to think of it). Also we've got rellies coming for Christmas in a week so I'm going to be too busy cleaning and cooking to fit much reading in.

The gift I will give is a straw hat
Step 2 – Wrap up the gift. Task: read a book cover to reflect the colour you choose for the wrapping paper.

Step 3 – Hide the gift until Christmas Eve. Task: read a book where there is a place you can hide your present on the cover
The gift will be hidden in the hold of the ship
Step 4 – On Christmas Eve place the present under the tree. Task: read a book that has a tree on the cover

Finished, but all in the wrong order. I finally wrapped my gift in bright paper provided by acclaimed Aussie author Helen Garner's new release, Stories: The Collected Short Fiction, which I loved. (I always love her work.)

In order to make one gift you will need to do the following 4 steps:
Step 1 - Pick a gift
a)

Task: read a book with your gift on the cover.
