So I went to the bookstore today to buy my reward for round 7. There were offers again, as usual over here (that's why I sort of avoid going) - so my 1 book reward became an 8 book reward plus a little dragon that reminded me of Iskierka and a little dragon mug.



And now I have to read 35 BOOKS to compensate!!! :(

I'm trying to read mostly from the stuff I own to clear my shelves. And this does really help with the buying as I've seriously cut down that part. I'm only acquiring 4 to 7 books a month now insteas of 20 to 30 like last year ( which does say a lot about my self control right!) 😊

Yep that's really great! This has really helped with my buying too, I've definitely cut down. If it wasn't for free books and presents I would have only brought home about 10 since I started.

You are really strong Siobhan in buying that less. :)
Perhaps I would also limit my numbers even more but at the price of 1 or 2 USD per book on sale it is very difficult to hold back.

Just yesterday for instance I passed by the bookstore to get a few books for my kids and got 4 more for myself also. And to tell the truth, I payed more for the kids' books than for mine.

I added the following 4 titles to my collection:

The Stone Sky - wanted to read this for a very long time
The Horse Boy: A Father's Quest to Heal His Son - looks lile a book for the heart and soul
The Scorpio Races - I have a BR for it with C.P. this week
Songs of Earth and Power - sounded interesting and it was only 99 cents.

I don't really know when I'll be able to make up for these also (*sigh*)!
