So good. But then, I'll recommend any book by David Mitchell

Rose (rosebuttons) | 8 comments Jane Harper's new mystery, Force of Nature, features characters who are twins.

My mom just recommended this to me specifically for this prompt! It sounds good!"

The movie was on tv several times when I was a kid. I still talk about it when scary things come up. It was SOOOOOO creepy.

I LOOOOVE I'll Give You The Sun. I recommended that the libraries I work in buy it.

Excellent book, although I think I started it 3 or 4 times before settling in.

Teri (teria) | 1554 comments I had just read and loved Simon vs. the Homo Sapiens Agenda and decided to read another book by Becky Albertalli. I finished The Upside of Unrequited last night and hadn't thought to use it for the challenge. It hit me the morning, though, that the main characters are twins and I hadn't yet picked out a book for this prompt. Yay!

The book is okay but not as good as Simon. It did, however, bring back some painful memories of unrequited crushes in high school and how much wasted energy I spent worrying about having a boyfriend. Aw youth!

message 259: by R.L. (new)

R.L. Martinez (robinlmartinez) I really hope I don't come off as lame, but my book features identical twin sisters... If anyone wants to check give that one a try.

In the Blood

For myself I'm going to read The Secret History of Las Vegas

Christy | 358 comments I'm squeaking in Manhattan Beach by Jennifer Egan for this one. The twin characters are QUITE peripheral, but it still qualifies!

Heather L (wordtrix) | 780 comments For those who like mysteries, I can recommend:

* Twin Killing by Marshall Cook (book 3 in a series, but I know that won't matter to some people.

* Avery Aames has a cheese shop series with twin girls, first book is The Long Quiche Goodbye.

* Ellery Adams has a "book retreat" series with twin boys, first book is Murder in the Mystery Suite.

* There are two books in Kylie Logan's "League of Literary Ladies" series with twins: A Tale of Two Biddies and Gone with the Twins.

* Casey Daniels' "Southern Sewing Circle" series features older twins. The first book is Sew Deadly.

* The "Aunt Dimity" series by Nancy Atherton also features twin boys.

Roxane Rodrigue | 5 comments Being twins is not the main subject of the book, but Gone Girl has its main character interact a lot with his twin sister.

Darchelle (dvajen3025) | 5 comments Fangirl!! One of my favorite books now! :)

message 268: by Victoria (new)

Victoria Spain (maitribb) | 22 comments Keri Arthur's Full Moon Rising is the first in a paranormal fantasy/romance series, the main character of which is a twin. There's quite a bit of smutty goodness so don't bother if you're not a fan of sexytimes.

swatreads (swathishetty) | 30 comments The Thirteenth Tale by Diane Setterfield

message 270: by Christy (new)

Christy | 358 comments If anybody's into the Her Royal Spyness series by Rhys Bowen, Heirs and Graces has characters who are twins. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone new to the series, but it's an easy way to tick off the prompt if you're reading the series anyway.

message 271: by Eujean2 (new)

Eujean2 | 249 comments I’m reading Paradise by Toni Morrison for another prompt, but it also features a set of twins.

message 273: by Trish (new)

Trish | 67 comments I read White Teeth by Zadie Smith for this prompt.

It's about two generations of families who are from England, Bangladesh, and Jamaica and how their lives are affected by immigration, identity, faith, and science - all about their roots. It's a good one to read sort of slowly and its broken up into four parts with primarily the last being about the twin boys, but they are intertwined throughout the novel.

Tracy (tracyisreading) | 608 comments Read and loved I Know This Much Is True for this prompt. So. Good.

I also read White Teeth for this prompt. Fair warning for others, it is a bit slow paced.

White Teeth is slow paced, which it wasn't the page numbers that made me take forever with it! There are definitely sprinkles of some wit throughout that keep it from being too heavy. I recommend if you don't mind taking your time!

message 279: by Tabitha (new)

Tabitha (ellornaslibrary) Going with Zero Repeat Forever by Gabrielle Prendergast for this challenge. The main character's boyfriend has a twin brother according to a review I read.

message 280: by Felicity (new)

Felicity I'm reading Time of the Twins for this prompt but any of the Dragonlance novel's main series would work as they have two main characters that are twins.

Lynette Caulkins | 92 comments Just read The Girls by Lori Lansens, on recommendation by the little bookstore owner near us. Fiction, written as the autobiography of twins conjoined at the head. I found it quite engaging.
