For anyone looking for an excuse to read American War, the main character is a twin. I just finished it and thought it was great.

The Royal We by Heather Cocks and Jessica Morgan! I wanted to reread it anyway before Prince Harry and Megan Markle's wedding and I was glad to find a prompt it fit easily. It's about a British prince who marries an American (who happens to have a twin sister!)
Recommendations from my read list:The Harry Potter series (The Weasleys)
The Song of Ice and Fire series (The Lannistars)
Half of a Yellow Sun
The Ice Twins
I just remembered in another thread that Celeste/Nicole Kidman's character in Big Little Lies has twin sons who play a big role in the main plot.
I just read a book called, All the Beautiful Lies by Peter Swanson.. in it, there were characters that were twins, but they weren't the main characters.. does that matter? Can i use it anyway?
I don't think it matters if they were main characters, right? They just have to have "characters" that are twins.
I've got The Identicals ready to go on Overdrive, but for those who haven't read it yet, I throw in my vote for I Know This Much Is True, by Wally Lamb, on audio, read by George Guidall! Guidall's reading was incredible! I had one of those deep connections with a book; the scene where one brother was throwing the other's tapes out the window of the car. I had to play it over again to experience the reading. It was like seeing/hearing a great performance!
I’m so excited to discover that the Tess Gerritson book, Body Double, has twins in it! I’ve only read a couple of her books, but I do enjoy them.
It doesn’t specify that they have to be main characters, and usually, if it important for the challenge, things like that are. I’d use it if I wanted to.
I read this last year, but Martians Abroad was good, and a quick read. It is also by one of my favorite authors.
Gone with the Wind has minor characters who are twins. If I remember right the main character in Gone Girl has a twin sister.
Alanna: The First Adventure has a twin brother although he doesn't feature very heavily in some of the books.
Lirael and Abhorsen have twins in them but not the first ((and best IMO) Sabriel.
I'm just reading A Killer Among Us and the female MC has a twin sister. It's a #3 in series and includes spoilers to the previous two (just in case you care about it)Some books featuring twins I enjoyed:
Betrayal
Runaway Twins (1st in series)
Forever Betrayed (#2) & Forever Concealed (#7) though the twins appear as minor characters in all books of the Forever Bluegrass series the current subseries in the Bluegrass Universe
Closer Than You Think (#16)
I am currently reading "Endurance" by Scott Kelly. His twin Mark plays an active role in his memoir. On another note, he makes references to the book " Endurance" by Lansing. The book about Shackleton. So multiple items can be checked off with this one. It is also a page Turner.
Almost forgot The Lies of Locke Lamora. It was my favourite book that I read in 2017 and there's two lots of twins in it.

(view spoiler) I just started The Republic of Thieves today and I have high hopes for it.

(view spoiler) I love how we have to have this whole conversation under spolier tags!
To be honest I was a bit disappointed by The Republic of Thieves mostly by the character of Sabetha but maybe that was just because of how hyped she was in the previous books. Stil a fantastic series.
Just finished I'll Give You the Sun! It was given to me as a gift this January. Surprising that I shelved it as To Read last 2014 and only got a chance to read it this year.

(view spoiler) I have heard that Sabetha is a let down but she has been built up for two novels so she was probably never going to live up to expectations
I just read Cruel Prince by Holly BlackTwin sisters stolen away as children to live in the Fairy Realm are now teens, facing the choice to fit in with the fae or try to lead a human life again. Fairy Court is full of trickery, double crossing, backstabbing (literal and figurative)!
Fangirl is another great twin book
Realistic fiction about a college freshmen who is obsessed with the"Simon Snow" books (aka Harry Potter!)
Kelly wrote: "I know this Much is True by Wally Lamb"I was waiting for someone to recommend this book! One of my all-time favorites!
I just read a book with twins, but it is a spoiler... SOOOO... I will put the book in a spoiler alert. So if you want to find something in the genre: historical fiction genre, romance. It takes place in several time periods.(not time travel) And you don't mind knowing it already. (view spoiler)
I'm going to go with The Secrets We Keep by Trisha Leaver....I've never read anything by her before but it looked intriguing and was on sale so I totally got the e-book! :) The cover of the book literally states "Twin Sisters. A Fatal Accident.A Devastating Lie. Which Girl Survived?"
EDIT: I finished it on Feb 24th and thought it was really good! I was in tears for about half the book! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ You have to be ok with YA material to enjoy this though!
Also the other popular choice I'm very surprised that nobody has mentioned yet is Mockingjay by Suzanne Collins (Hunger Games #3). Leeg #1/Leeg #2...I don't know that book ever explicity states that they are twins but it's implied and Katniss talks about how she tells them apart at one point
I just finished The Forgotten Girls by Sara Blaedel for the prompt Nordic Noir. The detective is searching for missing twins. Check and check
Laura wrote: "I just finished reading the ice twins , Now that is a psychological thriller"I loved that book!
I just finished The Identicals by Elin Hilderbrand. I really enjoyed the book and am glad I read it.
Force of Nature by Jane Harper has twins in it. This book would also satisfy the 'next in a series' if you've read The Dry. It also works for 'book published in 2018' and 'book set in a country that fascinates you' if you are fascinated by Australia.
Devon wrote: "I just remembered in another thread that Celeste/Nicole Kidman's character in Big Little Lies has twin sons who play a big role in the main plot."Thank you!!
The Good Friday Murder is a book I enjoyed last year for a holiday prompt, but it is a mystery involving savant twins.
I finished reading Sister Mine by Nalo Hopkinson on Jan 12. It has more than one set of twins in it.
What do you think about Among Others? The main character is a twin but (view spoiler). It's on the Listopia list but I'm not sure it counts!
LdyGray wrote: "What do you think about Among Others? The main character is a twin but [spoilers removed]. It's on the Listopia list but I'm not sure it counts!"I would count it. The characters are still twins, (view spoiler)
Megan wrote: "The Bush twins recently released a book about their lives growing up in the white house called Sisters First: Stories from Our Wild and Wonderful Life if you are looking for somethi..."I read this book for another prompt (two authors) but it fits for this prompt as well - I thought it was great and recommend it. Someone else mentioned it might be a stretch, but I don't know why it would be, it's about twins.
The book I read for the twins prompt is Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban because of the Weasley twins, Fred and George Weasley.
Someone else recommended Identical by Ellen Hopkins, I'm planning a reread of that book this year, it is excellent (as are most of Hopkins YA offerings).
Mike wrote: "LdyGray wrote: "What do you think about Among Others? The main character is a twin but [spoilers removed]. It's on the Listopia list but I'm not sure it counts!"I would count it. T..."
There is also Amy Ellis Nutt- Becoming Nicole which could cover twins or LBGTQ+ or both if you double dip.
I read One for this prompt. It's about a pair of conjoined twins and it's written in free verse, which is different from anything I've ever read!
