The Map of Time - this book is actually the one that suggested the prompt to me as it sits in my TBR pile!
Time and Again - a classic and one of the best in the genre. In fact any Jack Finney qualify.

Probably the prompt I'm most excited for. I LOVE time travel.

I recently read The Time Machine, which if you're not a fan of sci-fi, was a nice quick read that you can tick off in a day.

I can't recommend The Time Traveler's Wife enough. One of my favorite books of all time.

And I just recently finished The Jane Austen Project which I really enjoyed. A doctor and actor go back in time to befriend Jane Austen and her favorite brother Henry to save a manuscript that Jane destroyed before it could be published. It was a fun read if you're into that sort of thing.

To Say Nothing of the Dog doesn't feel sci-fi at all. Comedic goings on in a British neighborhood, based on Three Men in a Boat. Very light and fun.

If you like YA, I highly recommend the Gem trilogy by German author Kerstin Gier:

If anyone's looking for a recent YA book I'd recommend Invictus by Ryan Graudin. I read it a few weeks ago and loved it. Kind of like Firefly with time travel.

It is a series and Doomsday Book is the first in the series. You don’t have read them in order, though, I think.

I think I may reread Outlander. In the past, I’ve held myself to not counting rereads for challenges unless the prompt called for it. However, there’s a few series books that I’d like to reread because it’s been so long since I’ve read them and I want to read the next in the series. Outlander is one of those. It’s been 15 or so years since I read it.

I would have liked Just One Damned Thing After Another just fine if I didn't spend most of the book annoyed that yet another set of characters was obviously going to hook up. I'm super tired of that in general but I guess when I read this it bugged me even more than usual.

I'm thinking of re-read A Wrinkle in Time. I read it as a child and loved it and want to refresh my memory before seeing the moving next year. However, I don't know if it is technically time travel, since it is inter dimensional?

Yeah even though it's called a "wrinkle in time" and that's how the witches describe their travel, they seem to travel through space, not time. I would not class it as a "time travel" book, but I also can't say it's not a valid choice. It's sort of thinking outside the box a bit!

Right? It's a little tricky. I may just put it down for my "Local Author" choice and try to find an actual time travel book, or I may not ;) decisions, decisions.

I think it might better fit the other planet task, but it’s an interesting choice. After all, if you can save decades or longer of interplanetary travel and get there in seconds, it’s sort of like future time travel, isn’t it? Interesting way of looking at it.

I don't think it matters - you kind of jump in and learn from context about the rules and history of time travel in either. The most important consideration is do you want a horrifying trip into despair (Doomsday) or a light-hearted comedy adventure (To Say Nothing).

I read To Say Nothing of the Dog first and it worked out fine. Just be prepared for the extreme change of tone when you read the second book.

If you find yourself reading Blackout/All Clear at some point, bear in mind that they're really just one huge book. You have to read both volumes to get any real resolution.

I'm stoked because I saw her the other night, and she's actually thinking of writing another time travel book! She's been saying for a long time that she was done with that series.

Someone in my book club finished reading The Jane Austen Project recently, and really liked it, so I think I'll probably go for that.

A few others in my book lists:
- Time Between Us and Time After Time - sweet YA time travel romance
- Doomsday Book - I second the recommendation; time travel with some serious consequences.
- Ruby Red is in my classroom library and would suffice pretty well.
- Must Love Breeches - If you're looking for a softcore time travel romance that also teaches you about a real historical figure (Ada Lovelace), this is your book. I think the author has written other time travel romances, too.

I actually started this series with Blackout/All Clear and have no regrets, and I'll be reading To Say Nothing of the Dog for this challenge.

I definitely recommend the Miss Peregrine Series by Ransom Riggs. They do travel through time and I enjoyed all three books.
